Hi, I am Shirley, I was born in Greece. As a pup, I was found on the streets in very poor condition. ... It turned out that I had leishmania and am now blind in one eye. Luckily, I came to our shelter and have improved immensely. The recent blood test shows that I no longer have active leishmania and I now behave like an absolutely cheerful, loving, and healthy lady. My one eye doesn't hold me back at all; I can run around just fine! I am a bit unsure, especially when walking on a leash. Going outside with my volunteer is still a bit exciting, but with a stable dog as support, it goes very well. I am social with other dogs and with the people I know, and I love to play. I always look for a companion to chatter with, I am quite independent but am quickly impressed by new things. I am a very open, sensitive, and nice lady, and I try my best to make everyone happy with my cheerful energy!

Hoi, ik ben Shirley, Ik ben geboren in Griekenland. Als pup ben ik in zeer slechte conditie op straat gevonden. ... Toen bleek dat ik leishmania had en nu blind ben aan één oog. Gelukkig ben ik bij Het Huis van de Dieren gekomen en ben ik enorm opgeknapt. De recente bloedtest laat zien dat ik geen actieve leishmania meer heb en ik gedraag me nu als een ontzettend vrolijk, lief en kerngezonde dame. Mijn één oog houdt me totaal niet tegen; ik kan er prima mee uit de voeten! Ik ben wel wat onzeker, vooral bij het wandelen aan de riem. Alleen met mijn vrijwilliger naar buiten gaan vind ik nog spannend, maar met een stabiele hond als steun gaat dat al heel goed. Ik ben sociaal naar andere honden en naar de mensen die ik ken, en ik vind het heerlijk om te spelen. Ik zoek altijd een kameraadje om mee te ravotten, ben lekker eigenwijs maar wel snel onder de indruk van nieuwe dingen. Ik ben een heel open, gevoelig en fijne dame, en ik doe mijn best om iedereen blij te maken met mijn vrolijke energie! 💛
