Smilla is a female dog of about 5-6 years old (April 2026) that resides with rescuer Timea. She has only one good working eye. Her other eye is blind, but this has been examined by an ophthalmologist in Romania. Because the eye looks otherwise good and is not infected, it was decided to leave it in place. Her other eye functions happily well. Due to her limited sight, she can sometimes be a bit unsure in new situations. Nonetheless, she quickly shows a soft and friendly character. Upon approaching her kennel run, where she resides with several other dogs, her calm demeanor immediately stands out. She remains calm but comes forward curiously when you make contact. Additionally, Smilla is easy to handle. When she was allowed to go for a walk, she let the rescuer lift her without any trouble. Once outside the kennel run, she blossomed further. She walks calmly on a leash and pulls very little, making her a great walking companion. What makes her appearance extra special is her soft, full coat. She looks like a small brown-red teddy bear, with short legs that seem even shorter through her coat. This gives her an endearing and unique appearance. Furthermore, Smilla visibly enjoys attention. She loves being cuddled and will happily lie down for it. Sometimes she even rolls on her back and looks at you playfully, giving her a charming and loving appearance. Finally, Smilla is ready for her own home where she will receive the peace, love, and attention she deserves. Smilla is ready to make the exciting journey to the Netherlands. Smilla is een teefje van ongeveer 5-6 jaar oud (april 2026) dat verblijft bij rescuer Timea. Ze heeft nog maar één goed werkend oog. Haar andere oog is blind, maar dit is onderzocht door een oogspecialist in Roemenië. Omdat het oog er verder goed uitziet en niet ontstoken is, is besloten om het te laten zitten. Haar andere oog functioneert gelukkig goed. Door haar beperkte zicht kan ze in nieuwe situaties soms wat onzeker zijn. Toch laat ze al snel zien dat ze een zacht en vriendelijk karakter heeft. Zodra je haar benadert in haar kennel, waar zij samen met meerdere honden verblijft, valt haar rustige uitstraling direct op. Ze blijft kalm, maar komt wel nieuwsgierig naar voren. Wanneer je contact maakt, steekt ze haar neusje door het hek of komt ze dichtbij staan, duidelijk op zoek naar aandacht. Daarnaast laat Smilla zich gemakkelijk hanteren. Toen ze mee mocht voor een wandeling, liet ze zich zonder moeite optillen door de rescuer. Eenmaal buiten de kennel bloeide ze verder op. Ze loopt rustig aan de lijn en trekt nauwelijks, wat haar een fijne wandelmaat maakt. Wat haar uiterlijk extra bijzonder maakt, is haar zachte, volle vacht. Ze lijkt op een klein bruin-rood teddybeertje, met korte pootjes die door haar vacht nog korter lijken. Dit geeft haar een aandoenlijke en unieke uitstraling. Verder geniet Smilla zichtbaar van aandacht. Ze houdt van knuffelen en gaat daar graag even goed voor liggen. Soms rolt ze zelfs op haar rug en kijkt je op een speelse manier aan, wat haar een charmante en lieve uitstraling geeft.
