We met Sofie on our visit to our shelter in April 26, and we are completely captivated by this lively, cheerful female dog. She is a true ray of sunshine and has won our hearts with her warm welcome. Sofie was rescued from Ancsa by a dog catcher from an overcrowded euthanasia station. Despite her difficult past, Sofie shows herself to be open, cheerful, and friendly at the animal shelter. She is very happy when her primary caregiver comes, jumping around excitedly and begging for attention and cuddles. She is also very compatible with other dogs—both with female dogs and male dogs. In the run, she plays exuberantly with Beni and Daisy, showing her cheerful, carefree nature. Sofie is a mixed-breed female dog with a phenotype reminiscent of a Pomeranian. Whether genes from a herding dog are also present cannot be determined with certainty. At present, Sofie is very open and friendly towards strangers and oriented towards humans. However, it is important to closely monitor her development, set loving boundaries, and meet her breed-specific needs. We wish for Sofie a home where she is both physically and mentally challenged without being overwhelmed. People who enjoy growing with a smart, active, and sensitive dog will find a wonderful companion in Sofie. Sofie was tested negative for heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Lyme disease, and Anaplasmosis on April 22, 26.

Wir haben Sofie bei unserem Besuch im April 26 kennengelernt und sind ganz angetan von dieser lustigen, fröhlichen Hündin. Sie ist ein echter Sonnenschein und ist uns allen mit Anlauf ins Herz gesprungen. Sofie wurde von Ancsa aus einer überfüllten Tötungsstation gerettet. Der Hundefänger hatte sie aufgegriffen und in die Station gebracht. Trotz ihrer schwierigen Vergangenheit zeigt Sofie sich im Tierheim offen, fröhlich und menschenfreundlich. Sie freut sich sehr, wenn ihre Bezugsperson kommt, springt begeistert um sie herum und buhlt um Aufmerksamkeit und Streicheleinheiten. Auch mit anderen Hunden ist Sofie sehr verträglich – sowohl mit Hündinnen als auch mit Rüden. Im Freilauf tollt sie ausgelassen mit Beni und Daisy und zeigt dabei ihr fröhliches, unbeschwertes Wesen. Sofie ist eine Hütehund-Mischlingshündin und erinnert vom Phänotyp an einen Schafpudel. Ob auch Gene eines Herdenschutzhundes in ihr stecken, lässt sich nicht sicher sagen. Momentan zeigt sich Sofie Fremden gegenüber sehr offen und freundlich und dem Menschen zugewandt. Dennoch ist es wichtig, ihre Entwicklung aufmerksam zu begleiten, liebevoll Grenzen zu setzen und ihr rassetypische Bedürfnisse zu erfüllen. Wir wünschen uns für Sofie ein Zuhause, in dem sie sowohl körperlich als auch geistig ausgelastet wird, ohne überfordert zu werden. Menschen, die Freude daran haben, mit einem klugen, aktiven und sensiblen Hund zusammenzuwachsen, werden in Sofie eine wunderbare Begleiterin finden. Sofie wurde am 22.4.26 negativ auf Herzwurm, Ehrlichiose, Borreliose und Anaplasmose getestet.
