Sombra is a very sweet mixed-breed dog who is currently staying at our partner animal shelter, Al Bayassa, and is eagerly awaiting a loving home with people who have opened their hearts to rescue dogs. Originally, this gentle dog was rescued from an urban pound; unfortunately, we don’t have any information about why she ended up in such a sad place. Since March 2026, Sombra has been under the care of our animal welfare partner Maria Teresia, and during that time she has made remarkable progress. Naturally, she was initially quite fearful, but thanks to the help of our volunteer helpers, she’s had many positive experiences and now approaches them with great openness and joy. As you can see in the videos below, Sombra still tends to be a bit reserved around strangers—but her curiosity is steadily growing, especially when toys are offered. That’s when Sombra’s heart really starts to leap for joy, and it’s so much fun to watch her play so exuberantly. Sombra has a very sweet nature and tends to be rather submissive by temperament. She’ll probably never become a bold or adventurous dog—but then again, she doesn’t need to. Sombra is the perfect companion for dog lovers who appreciate gentle, soulful souls.

Sombra ist eine sehr liebe Mischlingshündin die sich in unserem Partnertierheim Al Bayassa befindet und von hier aus auf ein schönes Zuhause wartet bei Menschen die ihr Herz den Tierschutzhunden geschenkt haben. Ursprünglich wurde die sanfte Hündin aus einer städtischen Perrera übernommen, wieso sie sich an so einem traurigen Ort befand, drüber liegen uns keine Informationen vor. Sombra befindet sich nun seit März 2026 in der Obhut unserer Tierschutzpartnerin Maria Teresia und hier hat sie sich schon ganz toll weiterentwickelt. Verständlicherweise war sie die erste Zeit ängstlich, doch mit Hilfe der freiwilligen Helferinnen hat sie viele positive Erfahrungen sammeln dürfen und begegnet ihnen heute sehr aufgeschlossen und freudig. Wie Sie unten auf den Videos sehen können verhält sich Sombra bei fremden Personen noch etwas zurückhaltend doch ihre Neugier kommt kontinuierlich mehr zum Vorschein, insbesondere wenn Spielsachen angeboten werden. Hier kann Sombras Herz so richtig Freudenpurzelbäume schlagen und es macht Spaß ihr zuzuschauen wie ausgelassen sie spielt. Sombra besitzt einen sehr lieben Grundcharakter tendenziell eher unterwürfig. Eine Draufgängerin wird sie wohl nie werden, muss sie ja aber auch nicht. Sombra ist die perfekte Begleiterin für Freunde von Hunden mit sanfter Seele.
