1.7.2026: Sylvia is a lively and energetic little lady full of endless energy. This cheerful young lady has a friendly nature, yet she’s also quite individualistic—a companion you’ll likely need a good sense of humor to handle! Sylvia thoroughly enjoys spending time with people, and as an upbeat personality, she finds plenty of joy in everyday life. Although Sylvia is kind at heart and mostly plays nicely with people, she may start jumping around or hanging onto their sleeves once the excitement builds up. Her new home should provide Sylvia with ample mental and physical stimulation, as well as invest in calming training exercises. At HESY, medical procedures have gone smoothly with Sylvia, and she’s also highly motivated by food. While at HESY, Sylvia has been house-trained—as long as she gets outside first thing in the morning. On leash, Sylvia walks nicely and rarely reacts to other dogs during walks. However, Sylvia has plenty of energy and enthusiasm for exploring, so occasionally when she catches a strong scent, she might take off running. A new home must commit to dog-oriented, positive training methods. While at HESY, Sylvia has shown signs of separation anxiety when left alone, so it’s crucial that her new home takes this into account and promptly addresses any signs of distress that may appear. Sylvia is not suitable for families with small children, as she can be quite rough in her playfulness and might accidentally knock children over with excitement. Sylvia is not a good match for cats either; she’d thrive best as the only dog in her family. Previous experience with this breed is considered an advantage.
