She was found in a small village near Cluj, where she apparently never gave up despite difficult circumstances. When she was rescued, she was in a serious health condition, but she still tried bravely to stay on her feet. She silently endured great pain: a hernia and an advanced uterine infection (pyometra) had greatly weakened her body, the uterus was already filled with pus. An immediate operation was her only chance. The operation was performed to save her life. Tama showed remarkable strength and an extraordinary will to live. She is currently recovering under veterinary care and is gradually returning to life. All signs indicate that she will fully recover; corresponding reports and a treatment plan will of course be provided upon request. With a shoulder height of about 48 centimeters and an age of six years, her appearance suggests that she has terrier genes. She is already showing herself to be very people-oriented, active and lively. Despite her previous burdens, many things suggest that she will be an open-minded companion for various activities. In addition to physical exercise, mental stimulation is likely to play an important role in her future daily life. Now Tama is beginning a new chapter, which should not be written in the shelter. Als sie gerettet wurde, befand sie sich in einem ernsten gesundheitlichen Zustand, versuchte jedoch weiterhin tapfer, auf den Beinen zu bleiben. Still ertrug sie große Schmerzen: Eine Hernie sowie eine fortgeschrittene Gebärmutterentzündung (Pyometra) hatten ihren Körper stark geschwächt, die Gebärmutter war bereits mit Eiter gefüllt. Ein sofortiger Eingriff war ihre einzige Chance. Die Operation wurde zu ihrer Rettung. Tama zeigte dabei bemerkenswerte Stärke und einen außergewöhnlichen Lebenswillen. Derzeit erholt sie sich unter tierärztlicher Betreuung und findet Schritt für Schritt zurück ins Leben. Alles deutet darauf hin, dass sie vollständig genesen wird; entsprechende Berichte und ein Behandlungsplan werden selbstverständlich bei Bedarf gerne mitgegeben. Mit einer Schulterhöhe von etwa 48 Zentimetern und einem Alter von sechs Jahren lässt ihr Erscheinungsbild vermuten, dass Terrier-Gene in ihr stecken. Bereits jetzt zeigt sie sich als sehr menschenbezogen, aktiv und lebhaft. Trotz ihrer bisherigen Belastungen deutet vieles darauf hin, dass sie eine aufgeschlossene Begleiterin für vielfältige Unternehmungen sein wird. Neben körperlicher Bewegung dürfte auch geistige Auslastung eine wichtige Rolle in ihrem zukünftigen Alltag spielen. Nun steht Tama am Beginn eines neuen Kapitels, das jedoch nicht im Shelter geschrieben werden sollte. Nach allem, was sie durchstehen musste, hat sie ein Leben in Geborgenheit verdient: ein warmes Körbchen, verlässliche Zuwendung und ein Umfeld, in dem sie zur Ruhe kommen kann. Es ist anzunehmen, dass sie das Leben in einem Haushalt bislang nicht kennengelernt hat und grundlegende Abläufe sowie Regeln erst behutsam erlernen muss. Tama bringt die Voraussetzungen mit, Vertrauen zu fassen und eine enge Bindung einzugehen. Was ihr noch fehlt, ist ein Zuhause, das ihr Sicherheit gibt und ihr die Möglichkeit eröffnet, ihr Leben ohne Angst und Schmerz zu führen. Sie reist kastriert, gechipt, geimpft, entwurmt, entfloht und mit EU-Heimtierausweis. Nach positiver Vorkontrolle und gegen eine Schutzgebühr darf sie in ihr neues Leben starten.
