Tom & Jerry

Mixed Breed · Unknown

Tom and Jerry have had quite a journey - and it's wonderful to see how lively they are today. The guinea pigs were abandoned in front of our animal cemetery and came to us in very poor condition. Their fur was infested with maggots and they initially required intensive care. Fortunately, the two have now fully recovered and are ready for the next step: a home of their own. Tom and Jerry are curious and very talkative little guys who love to comment on what's happening around them. Boredom is guaranteed not to come with this duo. Both bucks are currently still uncastrated. They also have mild dental problems that should be kept in mind and regularly checked in the future. We wish Tom and Jerry an appropriate, spacious home with plenty of hiding places and varied activities. After their difficult start, they now deserve a place where they can feel safe and secure and simply enjoy their guinea pig life. If you'd like to give these little fighters a loving home, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tom & Jerry, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tom & Jerry?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Trier und Umgebung e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tom & Jerry on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tom & Jerry if I live in another country?: Sometimes. Whether a animal can move between countries depends on the species and the rules in both countries, and some species need permits or have restrictions. Ask Tierschutzverein Trier und Umgebung e.V. what paperwork and transport they require, and check the import rules of your country before you commit.
Is Tom & Jerry already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: What a animal comes with (vet checks, vaccinations, identification, paperwork) varies by shelter and species. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask Tierschutzverein Trier und Umgebung e.V. directly what is included and what Tom & Jerry still needs.
What happens if Tom & Jerry isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Trier und Umgebung e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tom & Jerry and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
