Adopt Vilma

Female · Young · 1 year

Vilma was born around early January 25 and is currently still in Spain. She was discovered in an uncontrolled cat colony that was already being cared for by our partners in Spain. The little one was very hungry, which led to the decision to rescue her and find her a safe future. Initially, she was very afraid of humans, who seemed gigantic to her. She is already being socialized and is making great progress, but she will definitely need some more time and patience. On the other hand, she gets along very well with other cats and greets them happily with her tail up. Therefore, the young female cat should definitely go to a home with a kitten of about the same age. Of course, she can also bring a friend. Upon entry, she will be vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and tested for FIV and FeLV. She will come with a spay clause. Who will give this little kitten girl a beautiful HappyPalast?

About Vilma

What life with Vilma looks like

Vilma is a extra-large young adult cat waiting at Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Vilma, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Vilma?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Vilma on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Vilma if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Vilma already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Vilma isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Aktion Tierisch Happy e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Vilma and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
