Yasmin

Cockapoo · Female · Adult · 5 years

22-10-26 Yasmin is a quiet little girl who has come into our care from a breeder in search of a new start. She seems a little overwhelmed by her new surroundings, but she has been accepting of handling and is not overly scared. Yasmin is a shy girl who will need time, patience and gentle encouragement to help her feel safe and begin to build her confidence. However, the longer she has been with us, she has built some confidence and will approach to take some treat paste from you. Yasmin would do well with a kind and gentle resident dog in her new home to help guide her and give her the reassurance she needs as she settles in and finds her paws. Having a friendly canine companion by her side should help her feel more secure as she adjusts to life in a home. Her adopters will need to have experience with ex-breeders to better understand her needs. She can live with older, dog-savvy teens who are sensible. As Yasmin has never lived in a home before, she will need to learn all about house training, lead training and the other basics of home life. Her new family will need to be understanding and allow her to progress at her own pace. Yasmin has arrived with a large abdominal hernia, which our vets will address at the time of her spay. With a calm, loving home and a little patience, we hope Yasmin will gradually grow in confidence and discover the comforts of being a cherished family member. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.

About Yasmin

What life with Yasmin looks like

Yasmin is a large adult cockapoo dog waiting at Many Tears Animal Rescue in Llanelli.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Yasmin, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Yasmin?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Many Tears Animal Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Yasmin on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Yasmin if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Many Tears Animal Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Yasmin already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Yasmin isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Many Tears Animal Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Yasmin and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
