Adopt Yo soy Mocho…

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Kitten · 4 months

...And I'm not a stray cat anymore. I'm Mocho, and I've passed to a better life... The cold and dangers of the street are behind me; I'll never suffer again... Eh?... What's that face, human?... Those pouts?... No, human, no, I haven't passed on!... I'm alive and well, the passing to a better life is completely literal, I'm living better now!... And okay, I was dramatizing a bit... Well, the best thing will be for you to hear my story: Since I was born, I've lived in a feral cat colony, overcoming many dangers, enduring the cold and heat, and sometimes it was very hard... But I've also lived in freedom, being fed and cared for: I was a feral cat, a free and happy spirit, because people come to our feral cat colony who care for us, feed us, keep the place clean, and make sure we're in good health. A while ago, I was captured for sterilization. That's great, because it prevents diseases, we fight less, and it controls the feral cat colony's birth rate... I didn't know that, but I heard everything while I was recovering from the procedure and I liked that humans had all those ideas. The sterilization was quick, it didn't hurt, and I returned to my feral cat colony to continue my adventures... That said, I had some things on my mind. I've passed to a better life, the cold and dangers of the street are behind me... But don't cry for me... I've decided to be a house cat!! I have to admit that the experience marked me quite a bit. I've always felt curious about humans, I'm one of those ferals who don't distrust or fear, I suppose I inherited a lot of domestic instinct... Cats are like that, not fully domesticated, not completely wild; complex, fascinating, and very, very smart, modesty aside... The case is that I've always approached people, but my time at the animal shelter made me reflect. The cats I crossed paths with told me things, how well it is to live with humans... Some are like slaves and treat cats like real Egyptian gods!, that's what they said... Looking for a home... I didn't believe it too much, there are some very fanciful cats, but one day I felt a bit sick and the caretaker of my feral cat colony, who noticed it right away, took me to La litter, and, as I'm a bit shameless, I decided that I liked the people who had picked me up... I didn't have to tell them my name, they guessed it right away: Mocho! And they treated me very well. I'm a house cat and very affectionate... Come meet me! WhatsApp at 682.52.90.55 I spent some time in foster care to recover from my cold, it wasn't serious. And during that time, I realized that when humans love and care for us, they're very good companions. And I felt treated like a real Egyptian god, I won't lie to you... That's why I'm looking for a home to live in, I'm six years old and I don't want to be on the street anymore... I know I'm a bit shameless, but I've convinced myself that life with humans is worth it. I also promise to give a lot of love in exchange for that happy home I so desire. Do you want to come meet me? I'm Mocho and you can ask about me by sending a WhatsApp to 682.52.90.55.

… Y ya no soy un gato callejero. Yo soy Mocho, y he pasado a mejor vida… ¿Eh?… ¿A qué viene esa cara, humano?… ¿Esos pucheros?… Ven a conocerme! ¿Quieres venir a conocerme? About Yo soy Mocho…

What life with Yo soy Mocho… looks like

Yo soy Mocho… is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at APAP La Camada Guadalajara in Guadalajara.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Yo soy Mocho…, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Yo soy Mocho…?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. APAP La Camada Guadalajara handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Yo soy Mocho… on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Yo soy Mocho… if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — APAP La Camada Guadalajara will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Yo soy Mocho… already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Yo soy Mocho… isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with APAP La Camada Guadalajara early rather than rehoming privately; they know Yo soy Mocho… and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
