YoYo

Cockapoo Β· Female Β· Adult Β· 5 years

22-10-26 Yoyo is a quiet and gentle soul who has come into our care from a breeder in search of a new start. She is easy to approach and handle, although she can be a little shy. Yoyo would love a calm and understanding home where she can settle in at her own pace and gradually grow in confidence. She is a sweet girl who will benefit from gentle encouragement and plenty of reassurance as she adjusts to her new surroundings. Yoyo gets on wonderfully with her kennel friends and relies on their company for comfort, so she will need a kind resident dog in her new home to help guide her and give her the reassurance she needs as she settles in and finds her paws. Her adopters will need to have experience with ex-breeders to better understand her needs. She can live with older, dog-savvy teens who are aged 13+ that are sensible and allow her time to settle in. As Yoyo has never lived in a home before, she will need to learn all about house training, lead training and the other basics of home life. Her new family will need to be patient and understanding while she gets used to all the new experiences that come with being part of a family. Yoyo has arrived slightly overweight, so she will need a good diet and gentle exercise to help her reach and maintain a healthy weight. This will need to be continued in her new home to support her long-term health and wellbeing. With a calm, loving home and a friendly canine companion by her side, we hope Yoyo will blossom into a happy and settled little companion. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.

About YoYo

What life with YoYo looks like

YoYo is an adult cockapoo dog waiting at Many Tears Animal Rescue in Llanelli.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" β€” quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures β€” to let them settle.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting YoYo, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about YoYo?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Many Tears Animal Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw YoYo on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt YoYo if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Many Tears Animal Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is YoYo already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if YoYo isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Many Tears Animal Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know YoYo and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
