adoption requirements adoption process Adopt now this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Yuki can travel directly to his own home! His story: Heart Dog Yuki is waiting for his home! The cute little Yuki had to spend his puppyhood on a leash, which had already sunk its teeth into his neck. An animal rescuer became aware of the poor little male dogs and took him away from that terrible place immediately. The neck wound has healed, and Yuki longs so desperately for love and affection. At the moment, he lives in a foster home in Romania with other dogs and cats. Yuki is about 11 months old, weighs 8 kg, and will maintain a small size. He is a real bundle of joy. Yuki is playful and clingy. He especially adores the little daughter who lives in the house. The plush puppy loves to snuggle in the lap of people and win their hearts with his big eyes. His innocent curiosity and gentle nature make him the perfect companion, always ready to shower you with love and put a smile on your face. Yuki is looking for people who will not have any expectations of him at first and will show him how a normal dog life works. Yuki still has a lot to learn. He should always be guided with a positive reinforcement training style. He is looking forward to his new life with nature walks, lots of snuggling hours, and also a visit to the dog training classes. The puberty phase is still ahead of Yuki. The hormone chaos turns the lives of the little rascals upside down. They “forget” everything they have learned and the ears are on full blast. Therefore, it is especially important to train consistently—but lovingly—in this phase. And there is also good news: This phase will pass! Yuki can travel to his home neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. After a positive EU pet passport, he will bring it with him. Who will gift Yuki an appropriate dog life? Many thanks to Hei H., you gave Yuki his name. Date: 03.04.

Vielen Dank Hei H., Du hast Yuki seinen Namen geschenkt Stand: 03.04.2025

About Yuki

What life with Yuki looks like

Yuki is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Yuki, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Yuki?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Yuki on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Yuki if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Yuki already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Yuki isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Yuki and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
