adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Zoia has found her own home! Her story: Zoia was found together with her sisters Hetti and Felina. She is a charming, 4-month-old female puppy with her gleaming black fur, her pretty white chest, and her cute white paw tips, instantly winning every heart. With her round button eyes, she looks at you expectantly, making you want to hold her in your arms, which Zoia finds wonderful, as she is extremely cuddly and seeks the company of her people. In nature, Zoia is a true treasure: friendly, gentle, and full of trust. She loves being petted and snuggles up to her primary caregiver most of the time. She also gets along excellently with other dogs. She actively seeks contact and is always open and playful. When she gets the chance, she is also a whirlwind and plays with her siblings and other dogs – unfortunately, shelter life often lacks the time for this. Zoia is expected to grow into a medium-sized female dog and brings the best prerequisites for a harmonious family life. Whoever gives this loving cuddle puppy a home will receive a loyal soul for life. Your new family should also be aware that Zoia still does not know life in a loving family. She still needs to learn the whole puppy ABC and puberty is still ahead of her. Here, she needs people who approach with love and patience, and may need to attend some positively working dog training classes with her and forgive her one or two mishaps. Leash walking, house training, and being alone are still foreign words to her. During puberty, she will certainly test boundaries and perhaps even forget some things she has learned. But once this phase is overcome, Zoia will definitely be a great lifelong partner. Zoia is microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. She brings an EU pet passport with her and can be adopted after a positive foster home trial. We would also be very happy to have a foster home for the sweet mouse! Who will give her a loving forever home? Many thanks to Jutta H.! You named Zoia. Date: 07.12.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Vielen Dank an Jutta H.! Du hast Zoia Ihren Namen geschenkt. About Zoia

What life with Zoia looks like

Zoia is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Zoia, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Zoia?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Zoia on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Zoia if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Zoia already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Zoia isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Zoia and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
