Zorza

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 2 months

Zorza is another young dog who came to us in August. 🌅 She is 2 years old and weighs 18.5 kg. She is a young dog full of energy and joy. When Zorza arrived at the shelter, she was anxious and didn't know where she was or if she could trust humans. 🫣 It took only two walks for Zorza to understand that humans are her best friends. Now she is one of the first at the gate and begs for a walk. The walk is not always perfect and she sometimes pulls, but it is her favorite activity on the weekend. 🤭 Zorza gets along with other dogs and enjoys playing with them. At the shelter, she also interacted with school-age children and showed no aggression towards them. 🐶👶🏻 The female dog is ready to leave the shelter. She can live in a permanent or temporary home. 🏡 📍 Zorza is at the Canis Shelter for Homeless Animals in Kruszewo - about 100 km from Warsaw and Bialystok. 🦴 You can visit her every weekend from 10am to 4pm. 📞 Contact for adoption or more information: 502 750 530 Can't adopt? PL·Show original

About Zorza

What life with Zorza looks like

Zorza is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Fundacja Puszatek in Warszawa.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Zorza, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Zorza?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fundacja Puszatek handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Zorza on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Zorza if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fundacja Puszatek will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Zorza already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Zorza isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fundacja Puszatek early rather than rehoming privately; they know Zorza and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
