La voluntaria experimentada Leigh se unió a algunos nuevos paseadores esta semana, aquí describe su experiencia con Chandler y sus amigos. «Chandler comparte jaula con Max (cruz de collie) y Ranger (GSD). Los tres están muy emocionados por salir a sus paseos. Primero yo, no yo... saltando entre ellos. Durante el paseo, Max sigue su emoción, es un poco reactiva con otros perros que no están en su manada. Sin embargo, Chandler estaba contento simplemente caminando, oliendo bien. Caminó hoy con una nueva voluntaria y se comportó muy bien. Ranger el GSD también caminó muy bien con una nueva voluntaria, ella quedó realmente impresionada por su calma». CHANDLER — MR GREY… THE BOY EVERYONE SEEMS TO OVERLOOK There’s always one. The one who watches other dogs arrive… then watches them leave. The one who has seen countless kennel mates come and go, while he remains behind. That boy is Chandler. And perhaps we know why people pass him by. He’s a big boy. He’s male. And he’s dark in colour. But honestly… are we really going to let something as simple as colour, size or gender decide Chandler’s future? Because behind that ‘grey’ coat is a boy with a huge heart. Denise says Chandler is very loving and affectionate and, when you spend time with him, he really doesn’t want you to leave him behind in his kennel. And Chandler is also very good with other dogs. His current kennel mate can bark and lunge when she sees other dogs, yet somehow she happily shares her space with Chandler. He takes it all in his stride. Totally calming. After years at the kennels, Chandler deserves to finally know what it feels like to be someone’s special boy. Not the dog people walk past. Not the dog who is always waiting.
