BELLA

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 6 years

BELLA is a mixed-breed female dog and was born on September 2, 2019. Originally, BELLA comes from Greece. BELLA has a balanced character and a calm temperament. The female dog has a strong build, a great weather-resistant coat, and a shortened tail (innate; medical certificate available). She currently lives in a pack and gets along well with the dogs there. She can be kept as a single dog, but can also be integrated into a multi-dog household. She is initially rather reserved and somewhat insecure with strangers. She needs time to build trust, but once she has formed a bond, she is cuddly, clingy, and loyal. BELLA needs a reliable person who has a feel for dogs. BELLA is both sensitive and strong and needs a leadership figure who can bring both aspects into harmony. BELLA is looking for a home in a rural environment and would feel comfortable on a farm or similar. She loves being outdoors and being around in her familiar surroundings. We can imagine that older children could also live in the new home. BELLA is spayed, vaccinated, and dewormed. If you think you can offer BELLA a life that suits her, we look forward to your contact. It is possible to get to know BELLA without obligation.

Bella ist eine Mischlingshündin und am 2. September 2019 geboren.

About BELLA

What life with BELLA looks like

BELLA is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tierheim Stolzboden.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting BELLA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about BELLA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Stolzboden handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw BELLA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt BELLA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Stolzboden will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is BELLA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if BELLA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Stolzboden early rather than rehoming privately; they know BELLA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
