Bella (lab x)

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 2 years

Meet Bella ❤️🐾 Approximately 2 years old | Labrador cross Some dogs just steal your heart, and Bella is one of those very special girls. ❤️ Bella is a young, fine-featured Labrador cross with one of the sweetest natures we have had the pleasure of caring for. She is gentle, loving and wonderfully soft in temperament, with a beautiful submissive nature that makes her an absolute joy to be around. When you first meet Bella, she can be a little shy and nervous for a few minutes. But give her a little time, speak gently and let her get to know you, and you’ll soon see her lovely personality begin to shine through. Before long, she’s rolling over for belly rubs, showing you just how much she loves a little affection! Bella takes life in her stride and has such a lovely, easy-going nature. She’s the sort of girl who doesn’t ask for much — just kindness, reassurance and someone who will help her continue to grow in confidence. Caring for her has genuinely been an absolute joy, and we know how much happiness she could bring to the right home. She’s also fantastic with other dogs and could happily share her home with a suitable canine companion. She could live with children who are dog-savvy and understand the importance of being gentle and respectful with their four-legged friend. Bella really is a beautiful soul. She’s not the sort of dog who demands attention or makes a big fuss; instead, she quietly wins you over with her gentle ways, her trusting nature and those precious moments when she decides you’re her person. We would love to see this wonderful girl find a family who will give her the time she needs to settle, help her confidence blossom and show her just how lovely life in a forever home can be. If you’re looking for a gentle, affectionate companion with a heart of gold, Bella could be your girl. 💕 Please don’t overlook her because she may be a little shy when you first meet. Give her a chance, and you might just meet one of the loveliest dogs you’ll ever know. 🐾❤️

About Bella (lab x)

What life with Bella (lab x) looks like

Bella (lab x) is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Almost Home Animal Rescue NI in Belfast.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇮🇪Adopting from Ireland

Irish shelters require a home check (often phone or video) and an adoption contract. Animals are vaccinated, chipped, and registered. Cross-border placements to mainland Europe require the rabies titer test (TRACES system).

Frequently asked

Adopting Bella (lab x), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bella (lab x)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Almost Home Animal Rescue NI handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bella (lab x) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bella (lab x) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Almost Home Animal Rescue NI will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Bella (lab x) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bella (lab x) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Almost Home Animal Rescue NI early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bella (lab x) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
