I'm a 2024 Mechelse herder and a real ball of energy on four legs. I'm affectionate, incredibly playful, a giant cuddle bunny, and to be honest, a bit of a scaredy-cat. My past isn't so rosy, because I come from a closed area where I was never allowed to leave. I had hardly learned anything there, and the big world outside was incredibly impressive at first. I can still get startled by a plant! Because I never saw much, I'm very curious. Sometimes a bit too curious, because I love to put everything loose and fixed in my mouth on the way. Twigs, leaves, cans, you name it! My trainers find this unnecessary and sometimes give me a toy so I focus on this. This works fine. Sometimes they just ignore it when I grab things, then it's not interesting anymore. Fortunately, I'm charismatic, because with my funny, just too small ears and my short tail, everyone melts as soon as I come running. Because I run, I also run into you. I'm quite clumsy in my enthusiasm. Living with other dogs is not for me, I just want to keep the attention for myself. During walks, I can pass other dogs reasonably well, as long as we get some space. I'm looking for a home with patient people who guide me step by step, show me that those exciting plants don't do anything. Do you see this? Ik ben een Mechelse herder uit 2024 en een echte energiebol op vier poten. Ik ben aanhankelijk, ontzettend speels, een gigantische knuffelkont en eerlijk is eerlijk ook een beetje een angsthaasje. Mijn verleden is niet zo rooskleurig, want ik kom van een afgesloten terrein waar ik nooit vanaf mocht. Ik had daar vrijwel niks geleerd en de grote wereld buiten was in het begin dan ook ontzettend indrukwekkend. Ik kan nu zelfs nog schrikken van een plantje! Omdat ik nooit zo veel gezien heb, ben ik enorm nieuwsgierig ingesteld. Soms íets te nieuwsgierig, want ik vind het heerlijk om onderweg vanalles wat los en vast zit in mijn bekkie te stoppen. Takjes, blaadjes, blikjes noem het maar op! Mijn trainers vinden dit heel onnodig en geven me soms een speeltje zodat ik me hier op focus. Dit werkt dan ook prima. Soms negeren ze het ook gewoon als ik vanalles pak, dan is het ook niet meer zo interessant. Charismatisch ben ik gelukkig wel, want met mijn grappige, net te kleine oortjes en mijn korte staartje smelt iedereen meteen als ik aan kom rennen. Want rennen doe ik zeker, ook tegen je aan. Ik ben namelijk behoorlijk lomp in mijn enthousiasme. Samenwonen met andere honden is niks voor mij, ik wil de aandacht gewoon lekker voor mezelf houden. Tijdens het wandelen kan ik andere honden inmiddels redelijk netjes passeren, mits we een beetje de ruimte krijgen. Ik zoek een huisje bij geduldige mensen die mij stap voor stap begeleiden, mij laten zien dat die spannende planten helemaal niks doen. Zie jij dit wel zitten?
