Bonetta

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 4 months

Bonetta and Belfegor are two adorable siblings who were abandoned in Kecskemét, Hungary on June 8th, 2026. They were discovered by kind people and brought to the animal shelter where they are now safe. Although they were not long in this world when they were abandoned, their start into life could have been better. Fortunately, they were found and taken care of. Even though the shelter is not the right place for them, they are together as siblings and get a chance to become beloved family members. This enchanting duo is now waiting for its own people who will accompany them on their further journey in life, support them and never leave them behind. Bonetta and Belfegor do not have to be adopted together. They are more shy puppies. In addition, the shelter situation, noise and chaos frighten them very much. Animal shelter employee Anna has taken care of them and they learn that there are also good people and they don't need to be afraid. Slowly they gain confidence in the animal caretakers and open up every day a little more and curiosity takes over slowly. It is nice to see them happy and playful. The siblings are still very green behind their ears and their new humans must teach them step by step, lovingly and patiently everything necessary that a puppy needs to know for his further life as a family dog. Their new two-legged ones should also be aware that young dogs also mean work and responsibility. When they have arrived in peace, they will certainly be happy about age-appropriate activities and promotion. What undiscovered talents are sleeping in them can then find out their new can openers. They get along well with their fellow species and a confident second dog to which they can orient themselves could help them feel safer in their new life. For our enchanting puppies Bonetta and Belfegor we are looking for loving people who can spend enough love, understanding, empathy, time and patience for the two of them, give them security and give them a chance that their disappointed souls can become happy and happy Can be. Bonetta and Belgegor will certainly soon notice how great life with understanding humans can be and they will open their hearts and be great and loyal companions, they just need to get the chance to show what's inside of them. Who may they trust? Currently both are still too young for a castration, which must be done by the new owners when they are old enough. Estimated final size 40-50cm and estimated weight 10-19kg. On June 25th, 2026 Bonetta is 30cm and 4.8kg The siblings can travel from around early/mid August 2026 if they have found a home or foster care.

About Bonetta

What life with Bonetta looks like

Bonetta is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Bonetta, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Bonetta?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Bonetta on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Bonetta if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Bonetta already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Bonetta isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Bonetta and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
