Adopt Casa

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 11 months

Casa – pure joy on four paws. Casa is one of three wonderful dogs who were discovered together by an animal rescuer – alone, helpless, and on their own. Together with Montana and Ricardo, she had to live as a stray on the street for a long time – a life full of dangers and uncertainties. Yet despite all these challenges, Casa has retained her sunny disposition and her joy of life. Like her two friends, she is simply wonderful: friendly, cuddly, and great with other dogs. Casa is a real bundle of energy with a big heart. She loves to run, play, and explore the world with her dog friends. She could play and explore her surroundings all day – curious, lively, and always ready for a new adventure. She brims with good humor and infects everyone with her cheerful nature. At the same time, Casa shows a great eagerness to learn. She wants to please, discover new things, and grow together with her humans. Walks in nature, exciting mental stimulation, and loving guidance – all of this would mean great happiness for her. She already walks very well on a leash and shows how much potential is in her. Casa is looking for a home that shares her energy and her enthusiasm for life – preferably also with an existing dog, with whom she can orient herself and play. Whoever gives Casa a home receives a piece of unrestrained joy of life and a loyal companion for every adventure. The animals are described as they behave in the animal shelter or in the foster home. This behavior does not show up immediately upon arrival. Some react with initial shyness to the new situation. Animals from the animal protection have all had a past that was mostly unpleasant or cruel. This past cannot be shaken off overnight. They need time to feel comfortable and to build trust. Please be patient and give your animal the necessary time!

About Casa

What life with Casa looks like

Casa is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Aegean Dogs e.V. / FAZA Aegina in Berlin.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Casa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Casa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Aegean Dogs e.V. / FAZA Aegina handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Casa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Casa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Aegean Dogs e.V. / FAZA Aegina will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Casa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Casa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Aegean Dogs e.V. / FAZA Aegina early rather than rehoming privately; they know Casa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
