Hello there! My name is Charlie (yes, sounds fancy, doesn’t it?). One day, my sister and I ended up in a foster home. Not exactly what I’d call the dream vacation—but hey, you’ve got to make do with what you’ve got. We found ourselves with a foster mom. Super sweet, mind you… but she also had dogs. And let me put it this way: I’m not a fan of wet noses or overly enthusiastic sniffing. So off we went, happily parked upstairs. Perfect—my very own penthouse! After a while, I started to thaw out a bit. A little petting here and there—I was almost starting to feel like the cuddle king already. But then… plot twist! We had to move. And guess what? We couldn’t come along. Seriously? At the new foster home, the adventure began all over again: first in quarantine (sounds exciting, and it really was), and I was absolutely terrified. But after two weeks, the door finally opened, and we were allowed to explore. I thought: “Cool, sure—but that staircase? That’s my territory.” So for a few more weeks, I lived up there. Safe, easy to navigate—10/10, totally recommended. Downstairs, by the way, turned out to be pretty cozy: all kinds of cat buddies! So I decided to cautiously make my way down... only to strategically hide behind the radiator. The perfect spot: warm AND with room service, because my foster mom just kept bringing food around. Luxury life, I tell ya! These days, I’m walking around a bit more confidently. I play, I purr in the kitchen when food arrives (priorities!), but if the food bowl gets placed too close... STOP RIGHT THERE! Then I puff myself up like I’m a little dragon. Hey, that’s MY food—and I’m hungry. It’s not for nothing that I’m a big tomcat! Very occasionally, I’ll gently sniff a hand. I see other cats thinking, “petting = fun,” and my sister’s even starting to get a bit more trusting. And I think to myself: hmm… maybe someday. But take it easy, folks—I’m not one for rushing things. I’ve also been outside a few times now. Totally cool, until I hear a human... then suddenly I’m back to being a Formula 1 racer heading indoors. By the way, my foster mom is truly amazing—but unfortunately, she can’t keep us all (even though she’d love to). So I’m looking for a kind, calm human—or two—with lots of patience. Someone who’ll give me the time I need to settle in. Then I promise I’ll grow into a cozy, sweet tomcat.
