Hund aus Los Barrios Cheeto kam im Januar 2026 in die Perrera von Los Barrios. Bei seiner Ankunft wurde er auf etwa fünf Jahre geschätzt. Der hübsche Podenco-Mischling wurde vermutlich ausgesetzt auf der Strasse gefunden und anschliessend in die Perrera gebracht. Kurz nach seiner Ankunft durfte Cheeto auf eine Pflegestelle ziehen, wo er drei Monate lang lebte. Dort wohnte er gemeinsam mit Kindern und wurde schnell zu einem geliebten Familienmitglied. Seine Pflegefamilie beschreibt ihn als edlen, gutmütigen Hund, der ihnen sehr viel Freude bereitet hat. Gleichzeitig stellten sie jedoch fest, dass sich Cheeto nur schwer an das Leben in einer Wohnung gewöhnen konnte. Er hat einen ausgeprägten Drang auszubrechen und versuchte jedes Mal hinauszulaufen, wenn die Wohnungstür geöffnet wurde. Mit den kleinen Kindern im Haushalt wurde es zunehmend schwierig, dies sicher zu verhindern. Obwohl die Familie alles versuchte, um ihm die Eingewöhnung zu erleichtern und ein passendes Zuhause für ihn zu finden, wurde die Situation schliesslich zu riskant. Schweren Herzens trafen sie deshalb die schwierige Entscheidung, Cheeto zu seiner eigenen Sicherheit in die Perrera zurückzubringen. Seine Pflegefamilie erzählte, dass Cheeto ihnen in den drei Monaten unglaublich viel Freude bereitet hat und ihnen die Entscheidung, ihn gehen zu lassen, alles andere als leichtfiel. Zurück in der Perrera teilt sich Cheeto seinen Zwinger problemlos mit anderen Hunden. Mit anderen Rüden verträgt er sich jedoch nicht gut. Er liebt seine Spaziergänge und durfte vor Kurzem Zeit mit einer Familie, darunter auch einem jungen Mädchen, verbringen. Dabei zeigte er sich von seiner besten Seite. Sogar an einer Katze, die fast grösser war als er selbst, ging er ruhig und gelassen vorbei. Natürlich ist das Leben im Zwinger nichts für Cheeto. Es macht ihn traurig, den grössten Teil des Tages eingesperrt verbringen zu müssen. Wir wünschen uns deshalb für ihn ein sicheres Zuhause mit einem gut gesicherten Garten oder Grundstück, aus dem er nicht entweichen kann – einen Ort, an dem er endlich zur Ruhe kommen, sich sicher fühlen und das Leben führen darf, das er so sehr verdient.
