Corporate Volunteer Days

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 4 months

Team volunteer days have the potential to add so many benefits to your business including: Here at Hope Rescue we have a variety of roles that will help you to achieve at least one of your ESR goals or more, all of which will make a significant positive impact on the lives of the most vulnerable dogs and owners here in South Wales. Fundraising – we are always looking for people to support the challenge of raising £2million each year to make sure that we can be there for a quarter of all the strays in Wales as well as help those in need of help to rehome their beloved dogs. This support could be at one of our Hope Rescue branded events, which are predominately evening and weekends but occasionally weekdays for pre -event preparation. We can also arrange for bucket collections in stores, which is great fun and extremely rewarding as you literally see your hours turn into much needed funds. Charity Shop – we have six charity shops based in Pontypridd, Merthyr Tydfil, Pontyclun, Blackwood Cowbridge and Talbot Green. The roles instore would be everything from sorting, steaming, pricing, working on the till and window dressing. If you are a big team, we can base you in different stores for a competitive team challenge. You may even pick up some bargains, whilst on your volunteer day. Rescue Centre – this would involve helping with maintenance work, painting, cleaning, and gardening. This is the closest you will get to seeing the centre in action. Whilst we can’t guarantee puppy cuddles, you may get to meet some of the dogs waiting for their new homes as well as meet the incredible team that are preparing them for their new lives. We know that meeting dogs is high on the list for people wanting to volunteer and we try to make this possible. We ask volunteer teams from business help us to cover the costs of materials for their day with us. This is occasionally provided through the company budget, or your team can set up online giving pages and fundraise prior to the visit. We can help get this set up and share some ideas if you need some inspiration. We ask each team to raise £150 ahead of the volunteer day. Please complete this short form or contact our fundraising team for more information Published: 10th September, 2024 Updated: 4th February, 2026 Author: Cheryl George We are looking for a motivated, organised and people-focused Charity Shop Manager to lead one of our retail shops in Talbot Green. We are looking for a proactive, friendly and organised Deputy Charity Shop Manager to support the running of our Pontyclun shop. When a Cocker Spaniel arrived at Hope Rescue, it was immediately clear that she needed urgent care. Alma is a Border Terrier looking for her forever home. This is a practical, care-focused role centred on maintaining clean, safe, and supportive environments for dogs. Your work underpins every aspect of their welfare, helping to prevent illness, reduce stress, support rest, and create the conditions dogs need to feel more secure during their time with us. In this role, you’ll contribute in a way that suits you - whether that’s through conversations with the public, supporting events, or helping things run smoothly behind the scenes. Every contribution plays a part in making better outcomes possible for dogs. Could you be our next volunteer at one of our charity shops? About Corporate Volunteer Days

What life with Corporate Volunteer Days looks like

Corporate Volunteer Days is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Hope Rescue in Pontyclun.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Corporate Volunteer Days, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Corporate Volunteer Days?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hope Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Corporate Volunteer Days on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Corporate Volunteer Days if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hope Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Corporate Volunteer Days already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Corporate Volunteer Days isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hope Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Corporate Volunteer Days and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
