WELCOME MO. WITH OPEN ARMS MAUREEN CAME INTO OUR CARE ON THE ELEVENTH HOUR. This young lady is Maureen. Maureen came into our care on the eleventh hour after a special appeal. She is one mistreated young dog that has been used for breeding. This sad and malnourished dog was left waiting at the stray kennels with little hope of a rescue place. Her life has been turbulent and sad and her lack of trust for humans has been a challenge for us as a small charity. Maureen has clearly been mistreated and arrived extremely underweight with a broken spirit. Mo was worried by other dogs, new people and had serious trust issues with some humans. As always this poor soul was yet another forgotten dog in need of extra mental support. Unfortunately the abuse and mistreatment of dogs physically and mentally is off the scale and so many remain at local stray kennels unable to find rescue help. Maureen is worried by strangers however has the ability to love and trust the people she knows. She has made incredible progress with us in four weeks and we have been elated to see her turn corners and grow with confidence. She loves attention once she trusts you and always greets her special people with a bum wiggle and a tail wag these days. Mo is now walking and able to play and interact with our male volunteers. She adores the human closest to her at kennels and we feel she can have this love and contact with the right adopter. Maureen has now put on some much needed weight and looks stunning. We feel she is definitely a Mastiff cross breed. Her physical problems and weight issues have as always been easy to treat with extra meals and TLC. Ridding Mo Mo of her mental scars has been a work in progress and is on going. We now reach out to special rescue individuals that can help her blossom and grow even more. If you feel this is you then please read on. Mo needs a rescue human that can offer her the support she needs. THE HOME THIS MISTREATED AND DESERVING DOG NEEDS Maureen is now looking to meet some dedicated and kind rescue people. We feel she needs a quiet adult home without other pets and someone that has time to offer guidance and boundaries. Her needs must be met and her human or humans are best suited with experience. Maureen loves the people she knows and will need careful introductions to situations that she may find fearful or challenging. We know this young dog has suffered some mistreatment and used for breeding. A local home for this lady would be amazing where someone can come and meet her more than once. Maureen is easily won over with food and regular visits for her to familiarise with potential adopters will make for amazing progress just has this has with individuals at our charity. CAN YOU HELP?
