Czesia

Mixed Breed · Male

Get to know Czesię. Czesia is a beautiful, mature sun-dog with black fur. Today, her fur is more well-groomed, but unfortunately, life hasn't been kind to this dog girl, which has shown in her physical condition. Before she arrived at the animal shelter, she lived on a chain. Shackled, she gave birth to one litter of puppies after another. We know nothing of their fates. But we do know that although Czesia is now at the animal shelter, it is a stroke of luck for her. For we will do everything in our power to find this beautiful sun-dog a loving home. A home where her fur will gleam, her belly will be full, and she will settle down to sleep comfortably by a human's side. Czesia initially was distant from both people and other animals. But it didn't take long for it to become clear that she is actually a dog yearning for human closeness and affection, a friendly sun-dog. She loves snuggling up to volunteers in her kennel. She eagerly goes on walks, puts on a harness without a problem, and joyfully marches out of the animal shelter by a human's side. But Czesia can also go on walks in the company of other dogs. She doesn't get flustered by them, even if her walking partner is more excited. She observes with interest, sniffs together, and continues on. Her attitude toward other dogs is indifferent. Summer also showed us that Czesia loves water, enjoys splashing in the pool, and behaves like a silly dog. Czesia was with us at the vet, and although the visit didn't bring her much joy, she managed to stay calm. Just like with car rides. Today, we know that Czesiulka is a wonderful dog ready to love her human family with everything she has. The animal shelter opened this once neglected, yet wonderful dog girl to a better life. All it took was a warm shelter, daily food, and the occasional human. Czesia showed us that she had been waiting with longing for human closeness throughout her entire dog life. Imagine how wonderful her home will be when someone finally notices her.

Obserwuje z zaciekawieniem, wspólnie powęszy, i idzie dalej.

About Czesia

What life with Czesia looks like

Czesia is a adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Czesia, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Czesia?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Czesia on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Czesia if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Czesia already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Czesia isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku early rather than rehoming privately; they know Czesia and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
