Dodo; a very special 7-year-old boy looking for very kind people! Dodo comes from Spain, where he lived with a French bulldog. Together they had puppies and Dodo was used as a breeding dog. He is an insecure but very loving boy who really deserves to find a very loving place. Dodo is a bit shy and doesn't quite know what has happened in the past few months. He was taken away from his 'masters' and ended up in the shelter. Then he made the trip to the Netherlands and now he's with us. When he arrived, he had a very bad mouth and we saw that he had trouble breathing. Therefore, he had a BOSS operation and all his rotten teeth were removed. With this operation, Dodo's nostrils were enlarged and a part of his soft palate was also removed so he can breathe better. He did super well and is clearly more active! Now all the misery is behind him and we are looking for a place where he is very welcome, where only love exists and where he can finally really enjoy his life. Dodo always needs some time to get used to new people and doesn't open his heart directly to you. But once he knows and trusts you, he will come to give you a cuddle, likes to be near you and is just a nice dog. Dodo gets along well with dogs in general. However, we see that he sometimes finds the concept of sharing a bit difficult and we can understand this given his past. Therefore, we don't place him with another dog in the house. But outside he can get along well with other dogs! Dodo unfortunately does not get along with cats. Because Dodo is sometimes a bit insecure and withdraws in noisy situations, we don't place him in a family with children. He just likes peace and routine so he knows what to expect. Then he will learn to trust in the love and the calmness and then will enjoy everything that life has to offer. You are warmly welcome to come meet Dodo. Then he can show how special he is!

Dodo; een heel bijzonder kereltje van 7 jaar jong en op zoek naar hele lieve mensen! Dodo komt uit Spanje, waar hij samenleefde met nog een Frans bulldogje. Samen moesten zij pupjes maken en Dodo is dus als fokreutje gebruikt. Hij is een onzeker, maar intens lief kereltje, die het echt verdient om een heel liefdevol plekje te vinden. Dodo is wat verlegen en weet niet zo goed wat er allemaal is gebeurd de afgelopen maanden. Hij werd weggehaald bij zijn ‘baasjes’ en kwam in de opvang terecht. Vervolgens heeft hij de reis naar Nederland gemaakt en nu is hij bij ons. Hij had bij binnenkomst een heel slecht gebit en zagen wij dat hij moeilijk lucht kreeg. Daarom heeft hij een BOSS operatie gehad en zijn direct alle rotte tanden eruit gehaald. Met deze operatie zijn Dodo zijn neusgaten vergroot en is er ook een deel van zijn zachte gehemelte afgehaald waardoor hij beter kan ademen. Hij heeft het super gedaan en is duidelijk wat actiever! Nu is alle ellende achter de rug en zoeken we een plekje waar hij ontzettend welkom is, waar alleen maar liefde is en waar hij eindelijk echt mag gaan genieten van zijn leven. Dodo moet altijd even wennen aan nieuwe mensen en opent zijn hart niet direct voor je. Maar als hij je kent en vertrouwt komt hij graag een knuffel bij je halen, is graag bij je in de buurt en gewoon een fijn hondje. Dodo kan het prima vinden met honden in de omgang. Wel zien we hier dat hij het principe delen soms iets lastig vindt en dat kunnen wij ons voorstellen met zijn verleden. Daarom plaatsen we hem niet bij een andere hond in huis. Maar buiten kan hij prima met andere honden omgaan! Dodo kan het helaas niet vinden met katten. Omdat Dodo soms wat onzeker is en zich terug trekt bij drukte, plaatsen we hem niet in een gezin met kinderen. Hij houdt gewoon van rust en regelmaat zodat hij weet waar hij aan toe is. Dan zal hij gaan vertrouwen op de liefde en de rust en dan ook gaan genieten van alles wat het leven hem te bieden heeft. U bent van harte welkom om Dodo te komen ontmoeten. Dan kan hij laten zien hoe bijzonder hij is!
