The cats will only be placed together as an inseparable duo. Character and background of the cats: Koekje and Pluisje, our model cats... Their beautiful looks and lovely character will melt everyone's heart, but please read carefully before you pick up your phone. They come with a backpack. Koekje and Pluisje were 6 months old when they were taken away from a farm along with three other brothers. All of them are equally beautiful, all of them are equally rosy, and all of them are equally sick. Most of the brothers tested positive for FIV and had severe respiratory infections. Due to the FIV, they have little natural resistance, so the healing process was extra slow. Koekje is a very social tomcat, he makes friends with everything that has two or four legs within five seconds. Head-butting is his favorite hobby and he likes to stay close to you. When he's in "play mode", he's a real battering ram and he's not afraid of anything (not even the vacuum cleaner!). Pluisje is completely the opposite. He's scared of everything and it takes ages before he trusts you enough for a little stroke. But as a real pasha, he lies contentedly at a safe distance looking at you. The love goes through the stomach: if you bring a plate of wet food, suddenly you are his best friend... He is not social with other cats (except Pluisje, of course). Koekje and Pluisje cannot go outside (unless in an enclosed courtyard or cat run), but they are big and sturdy boys. So they need enough space to romp around inside, and staff who occasionally throw a ball for them. Especially Koekje has suffered permanent damage to his lungs, so it's important that they receive medical follow-up care and that they end up in the healthiest possible living environment. So no smokers in the house! (wood stoves, perfume sprayers, etc... should also be avoided). They receive permanent immunity-supporting medication. That comes to 22 euros per month for both cats. For their health it is further important that they experience as little stress as possible. We therefore do not place them with children or other pets. Are you willing to give them the necessary medical care and Pluisje all the time to socialize? Do you mind that every morning Koekje's wet nose in your face and that you can never go to the toilet alone? Then read on about the adoption procedure! Koekje and Pluisje have been dewormed, vaccinated, sterilized, microchipped and registered. They have been tested for aids and leukemia and tested positive for aids. For FIV-positive cats we ask a reduced contribution of €100 per cat. Adoption procedure: First, it is checked by phone whether there can be a good match between you and the cat, after which an appointment can be made for a visit so that you can get to know each other. Upon adoption, an adoption contract is signed and the adoption fee is paid when picking up the cat. Every cat leaves with a European passport. De katten worden enkel samen geplaatst als onafscheidelijk duo. Karakter en achtergrond van de katten: Koekje en Pluisje, onze fotomodellen… Hun prachtige looks en zalig karakter zal ieders hart doen smelten, maar lees eerst aandachtig verder voordat je die gsm bovenhaalt. Ze komen namelijk met een rugzakje. Koekje en Pluisje werden 6 maanden oud samen met nog drie broertjes weggehaald van een boerderij. Allemaal even mooi, allemaal even ros, en allemaal even ziek. De meeste broertjes testten positief op FIV en hadden zware luchtweginfecties. Door de FIV hebben ze weinig eigen weerstand, dus het genezingsproces verliep extra traag. Koekje is een supersociale kater, hij sluit binnen de vijf seconden vriendschap met alles wat twee of vier poten heeft. Kopjes geven is zijn favoriete hobby en hij blijft graag bij je in de buurt. Als hij in ‘speelmodus’ is, is het een echte stormram en hij is van niets bang (zelfs niet van de stofzuiger!). Pluisje is helemaal het tegenovergestelde. Hij schrikt van alles en het duurt eeuwen voordat hij je genoeg vertrouwt voor een klein streeltje. Maar als een echte pasha ligt hij languit op veilige afstand tevreden naar je te kijken. De liefde gaat uiteraard wel door de maag: als je een bordje natvoer brengt, ben je plots wel zijn grootste vriend... Hij is niet sociaal naar andere katten toe (behalve naar Pluisje uiteraard). Koekje en Pluisje mogen niet naar buiten (tenzij op een afgesloten koer of in een kattenren), maar het zijn grote en stevige jongens. Ze hebben dus genoeg ruimte nodig om binnen te ravotten, en personeel dat regelmatig eens een balletje gooit. Vooral Koekje heeft blijvende schade opgelopen op de longen, dus het is belangrijk dat ze medisch goed opgevolgd worden en dat ze in een zo gezond mogelijke leefomgeving terechtkomen. Dus geen rokers in huis! (ook houtkachels, parfumverstuivers, enz… zijn te vermijden). Ze krijgen permanent immuniteit ondersteunende medicatie. Dat komt op 22 euro per maand voor beide katten. Voor hun gezondheid is het verder van belang dat ze zo weinig mogelijk stress ondervinden. We plaatsen hen dus niet bij kinderen of andere huisdieren. Ben je bereid om hen de nodige medische zorgen te geven en Pluisje alle tijd te geven om verder te socialiseren? Vind je het niet erg dat je elke ochtend de natte neus van Koekje in je gezicht krijgt en dat je nooit meer alleen naar het toilet kan? Lees dan verder over de adoptieprocedure! Koekje en Pluisje zijn ontvlooid, ontwormd, gevaccineerd, gesteriliseerd, gechipt en geregistreerd. Ze zijn getest op aids en leucose en testten positief op aids. Voor FIV-positieve katten vragen we een verminderde bijdrage van €100 per kat. Adoptieprocedure: Er wordt eerst telefonisch nagegaan of er een goede match kan zijn tussen jou en de kat, nadien kan een afspraak gemaakt worden voor een bezoekje zodat jullie met elkaar kunnen kennis maken. Bij adoptie wordt een adoptiecontract getekend en de adoptiebijdrage wordt betaald bij het afhalen van de kat. Iedere kat vertrekt met een Europees paspoort.
