Emina

Female · Adult · 6 years

Breed: Anatolian Shepherd Age: 01-01-2020 Medical: Vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and flea-treated. Temperament: Alert, loyal, cuddly House-trained: Yes Hello everyone! I’m Emina, a 6-year-old Anatolian Shepherd female. I ended up in foster care due to neglect. Luckily, despite this, I’ve remained very sweet and loving. When I feel comfortable and at home, I can be quite sensitive around other dogs. Sometimes I completely ignore them, but it’s also possible that I’ll make my presence known. If you notice someone approaching, I’m still perfectly happy to come running when called for a little treat. So far, I’ve found most people really enjoyable. I’ve already made lots of friends—and there are even more on the way! It would be great, though, if someone could come along who could offer me some stability. I get along well with many people, but I’d really love to have my own space—a place where I can take long naps, cuddle, and play to my heart’s content. Because secretly, I’m actually pretty good at running too! But don’t worry, I won’t do that on a leash. Do you have the space to offer me this kind of life? Have you learned more about my breed, and does this sound like something you’d be up for after hearing my story? Then please fill out the form or send an email to

Ras: Anatolische herder Leeftijd: 01-01-2020 Medisch: Gevaccineerd, gesteriliseerd, gechipt, ontwormd en ontvlooid. Karakter: Waaks, loyaal, knuffelig Zindelijk: Ja Hey iedereen!

About Emina

What life with Emina looks like

Emina is a adult dog waiting at Dierenopvang Hart van Brabant in Netherlands.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Emina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Emina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Dierenopvang Hart van Brabant handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Emina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Emina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Dierenopvang Hart van Brabant will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Emina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Emina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Dierenopvang Hart van Brabant early rather than rehoming privately; they know Emina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
