Farah

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Puppy · 4 months

All good things are three. But all sweet things are 7+1! Seven wonderful puppies are on the lookout for a loving home of their own. The puppy girls are named Farah, Gara, Maga, and Patita, and the little boys are Marco, Polo, and Robi. The "plus 1" stands for the wonderful dog mom Fiama, who is really very loving towards her babies. Fiama was on a country road when she stumbled upon a construction site. Many dogs are there because there are many workers who kindly give the strays some food regularly. Fiama also stopped there and begged for food. A young man noticed the female dog and noticed that she was a bit round. He informed the animal shelter Mi Fiel Amigo, which of course took the female dog in. A check at the animal clinic revealed that Fiama was pregnant and that birth was imminent. Fiama was allowed to stay at the animal clinic, where she gave birth to her puppies a few days later. There were nine puppies, but only seven survived. The animal clinic provided Fiama and her puppies with their storage space for the first three weeks before the little dog family moved to a private foster home. The really great thing is that the little dog family can now grow up with Alicia, who works at the animal clinic and is also active at the animal shelter Mi Fiel Amigo. Since there was no suitable space for the puppies and their mom, and there was also a large infection risk, the dogs were allowed to move into the private home. When they left the animal clinic, the little ones could already eat independently, but they were still allowed to continue nursing at the milk bar of dog mom Fiama. Alicia is very fond of each individual puppy and also of Fiama, who is super loving with her offspring. If everything goes well and the puppies can find their own homes soon, they won't have to move into the "between-maternity" shelter. Alicia's house is very small, but the whole pack sleeps in the living room, and in the morning, they tap directly into Alicia's bedroom to greet her joyfully. Farah is one of the charming puppies, and when she's old enough, she would like to continue her good start in life with her very own family. Her people should love her just as much as Alicia does. Saying goodbye to Alicia and also for Alicia will be very hard, but every minute Alicia spent with the little dog family will pay off. For the adopters, for Farah, and for Alicia herself. Since Farah is still a little puppy, her heart's people should be prepared for everything a little whirlwind can do. Farah needs a lot of time, a lot of patience, maybe sometimes a bit more nerves, and above all, a lot of love and a visit to a good dog training class.

About Farah

What life with Farah looks like

Farah is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzverein Europa in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Farah, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Farah?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Europa handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Farah on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Farah if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Europa will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Farah already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Farah isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Europa early rather than rehoming privately; they know Farah and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
