Fuddle Duddle

Maltese · Female · Young · 2 years

I’d like a home filled with love and kindness! I need a doggy friend in my new home. I haven’t met cats so I’m unsure. I'd like a secure garden to potter around in. I haven't tried walks yet, a secure garden will be fine for now. Please be patient with me, I need to learn house training and lead walking. I am spayed and ready to find my forever home. 30-10-26 Fuddle Duddle is a sweet girl with a lovely character who has come into our care from a breeder. She is quite shy and is not used to being handled, but she manages it well once she feels safe. Fuddle Duddle has recently had a bath and groom and was very well behaved throughout. She is not particularly keen on being picked up, but she is easy to handle. She also loves racing around the yard with her kennel friends and seems to really enjoy their company. Fuddle Duddle gets on wonderfully with her kennel friends and relies on their company for comfort, so she will need a kind resident dog in her new home to help guide her and give her the reassurance she needs as she settles in and finds her paws. As Fuddle Duddle has never lived in a home before, she will need to learn all about house training, lead training and the other basics of home life. Her new family will need to be patient and give her plenty of time to adjust to her new surroundings and become comfortable with this different way of life. Fuddle Duddle is a lovely girl who enjoys having fun with her friends, and we hope that with the support of a reassuring canine companion and a kind, patient family, she will grow in confidence and discover all the comforts and happiness that a home of her own can bring. Fuddle Duddle has been given the Gift of Life by June Torgersen This dog can be homed with a resident dog.

About Fuddle Duddle

What life with Fuddle Duddle looks like

Fuddle Duddle is a young adult maltese dog waiting at Many Tears Animal Rescue in United Kingdom.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Fuddle Duddle, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Fuddle Duddle?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Many Tears Animal Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Fuddle Duddle on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Fuddle Duddle if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Many Tears Animal Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Fuddle Duddle already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Fuddle Duddle isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Many Tears Animal Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Fuddle Duddle and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
