Our little Gromit is already living up to his name, just like his famous predecessor, mastering the art of captivating people with a single glance. With his beautiful, thick fur, his unusually bright eyes, and his absolutely perfect, heartwarming doggy gaze, he immediately makes every heart skip a beat. His story is deeply moving. Gromit was abandoned with his siblings and is the only survivor of his litter, after his little sisters tragically were hit by a car. He has overcome a tough start in life and brings an unbridled joy for living despite this sad background. Currently, he shows himself in his Romanian foster home as a super friendly, playful, and absolutely adorable guy who gets along fabulously with both people and his fellow animals. Whether he likes cats has not yet been tested, but with his three months, the world still lies wide open before him. Currently, the charming fellow already weighs 14 kg and it's clear to see that he won't be a lap dog. Gromit is likely to grow into a medium to large male dog, and it is both visually and character-wise not out of the question that the blood of proud herding dogs flows in his veins. This means that his future family must set the right foundations from the start. In the current, crucial puppy phase, it's all about giving him a lot of love, patience, and positive reinforcement to teach him the basics of being a dog and to give him the security he needs after his tough start. But the sweet baby will turn into a teenager faster than you think: The challenge of puberty will also not pass Gromit by. When hormones start playing tricks and previously learned commands seem to be in vain, iron discipline, strength, and a humorous calmness are required. In light of the possible herding dog genes, very special demands are placed on his new human family. These dogs are not just command recipients; they were bred to make independent decisions, to guard their territory, and to loyally protect their family. Gromit therefore seeks people who do not want to suppress these character traits but can guide them in the right direction. He needs a home, ideally with a securely fenced yard, and people who can lead with authority, heart, and empathy. Gromit travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated, together with his EU pet passport. Gromit ist erst seit dem 22.08.2026 in Deutschland in seiner Pflegestelle und dabei, sein neues Leben Stück für Stück zu entdecken. Schon jetzt zeigt sich, dass in ihm ein neugieriger und verspielter junger Hund steckt, der gerne dabei ist und zunehmend den Kontakt zu seiner Bezugsperson sucht. In vertrauter Umgebung kommt Gromit immer mehr aus sich heraus. Er erkundet, spielt, beschäftigt sich gerne mit Kauartikeln und zeigt dabei auch schon den ein oder anderen junghundetypischen Quatsch. Gleichzeitig ist er kein Hund, der ständig Action braucht: Er kann sich zurückziehen, beobachten und zur Ruhe kommen. Auch die Nächte verbringt er bereits entspannt. Seine mutige Seite zeigt Gromit momentan vor allem dort, wo er sich sicher fühlt. Die große Welt außerhalb seines Zuhauses ist ihm dagegen noch nicht ganz geheuer. Besonders unbekannte Menschen verunsichern ihn und können ihm aktuell noch Angst machen. Gromit braucht deshalb die Möglichkeit, Begegnungen mit ausreichend Abstand und in seinem eigenen Tempo kennenzulernen. Bedrängt werden möchte er nicht – Vertrauen darf bei ihm wachsen. Dabei zeigt er schon jetzt, wie lernfähig und anpassungsfähig er ist. Dinge, die ihn zunächst erschrecken, kann er häufig schon nach kurzer Zeit besser einordnen. Auch das Laufen an der Leine und die Stubenreinheit entwickeln sich für die kurze Zeit auf seiner Pflegestelle sehr gut. Für Gromit suchen wir Menschen, die nicht erwarten, dass nach wenigen Tagen schon alles selbstverständlich funktioniert. Er braucht Sicherheit, Geduld und eine verlässliche Begleitung, die ihm die Welt zeigt, ohne ihn dabei zu überfordern. Wer ihm diese Zeit gibt, darf vermutlich schon bald noch viel mehr von dem fröhlichen, neugierigen und verspielten Gromit kennenlernen, der gerade jeden Tag ein bisschen mehr zum Vorschein kommt. Gromit zieht kastriert, gechipt, geimpft, entwurmt und entfloht, zusammen mit seinem EU-Heimtierausweis. Nach positiver Vorkontrolle kann er gegen eine Schutzgebühr vermittelt werden.
