Kellogs

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Kellogs, a friendly, lively and affectionate Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix, was found abandoned in Kecskemét, Hungary, on August 12, 2026, along with Valea-2. He has not been microchipped and is now waiting in a shelter for loving people to come and take him in. Kellogs is eager to find a forever home and be part of a family. He is very needy and clingy, and has a lot of catching up to do. He can be a bit boisterous at times, but he has so much love to give. Kellogs is eager to explore the world and spend many happy hours with his new family. He gets along well with his canine housemate Lia. (As of September 18, 2026) We are looking for an adventurous and dog-loving home for our wonderful Kellogs, where he can run free in nature, be challenged and encouraged in a dog-friendly way, be spoiled with love and care, and receive clear but loving guidance. Who will join Kellogs in a lifelong dog-human partnership? Kellogs is missing his upper right canine tooth. As Kellogs is a Staff-mix, those interested should check with their local authorities about the breed's suitability for their area. Kellogs can travel from the shelter around the end of September 2026, once he has found a home or foster family.

DE·Show original

About Kellogs

What life with Kellogs looks like

Kellogs is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kellogs, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kellogs?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kellogs on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kellogs if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kellogs already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kellogs isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kellogs and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
