Vanha mummo, jonka pihalla mellastaa vaihtelevan kokoinen lauma villiintyneitä, steriloimattomia koiria. Mummo ei hoida koiriaan asianmukaisesti, hyvä kun kykenee pitämään itsestään huolta. Talo hädin tuskin pysyy enää pystyssä ja on sisältä niin saastainen, että haju tyrmäisi helposti tottumattoman ihmisen. Mummo elelee siellä kuitenkin koirien ja kissojensa kanssa. Hän ei myöskään yleensä suostu luovuttamaan koiria tarhalle, vaikka ei selviydykään ison lauman kanssa. Tällä kertaa ihme kyllä yhteisymmärrys saavutettiin, ja mummo suostui luovuttamaan 16 koiraa tarhalle, joista 11 oli pentuja. Niin minä ystävieni kanssa pääsin turvaan tänne Mazas Draugasin tarhalle ja etsiskelen nyt täältä käsin omaa kotiani. Minä olin elänyt ulkona mummon luona asuessani, enkä ollut sosiaalistunut ihmisiin, joten on vaatinut ponnisteluja tarhalla luoda luottamuksen side. Rohkaistun muiden koirien seurassa, joten olisi suotavaa, että tulevassa kodissani olisi koira kaveri, jolta saisin tukea jännittävien asioiden kohtaamiseen.
