Kya (can be rehomed with Winter)

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Kitten

I’m a gentle, sweet and very loving young girl ready to find my forever home My name is Kya and I arrived at the sanctuary a few months ago after I was found outside very distressed after being harrased by big male cats all wanting to mate with me. I am only a baby myself and was very happy to be rescued! I was not microchipped and nobody came forward to claim me. My carer booked me in for spay asap incase I had caught pregnant. I settled in really well and have been enjoying my comfy hidey bed, my toys and plenty of loves and fusses! I am a very friendly, gentle girl and mostly quite a calm kitten but I do still have my typical kitten moments and really enjoy independent and social/ interactive play with all different toys! Im such a sweet young girl and very affectionate. I have been recently enjoying playing with my new friend Winter here at the sanctuary. I am very soft and due to my semi longhair I am a bit fluffy especially my tail. I do enjoy beng brushed and will need grooming in my new home. I am a healthy young girl with no current health concerns. I could live with young sensible children as I am very sweet natured girl. I NEED a young cat friend for play and company! I have recently made friends with Winter who has been waiting for a home for a while. It would be so lovely if we could be homed together! I have met a couple of the dogs here and although a little wary, I am quite confident and curious so would be able to live with a calm cat friendly dog. I would be happy as an indoor-only cat, as long as my new family provides me with plenty of enrichment, including toys, puzzle feeders, scratching posts, and cat furniture to keep us entertained. I could also enjoy access to the outdoors, either through a secure catio, a cat-proofed garden, or free outdoor access. If we are to have free access outdoors, we will need to remain indoors for at least 8 weeks. If you think you could offer me the loving home I am looking for and meet my rehoming requirements, please complete an adoption form.

About Kya (can be rehomed with Winter)

What life with Kya (can be rehomed with Winter) looks like

Kya (can be rehomed with Winter) is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Wythall Animal Sanctuary in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Kya (can be rehomed with Winter), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Kya (can be rehomed with Winter)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Wythall Animal Sanctuary handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Kya (can be rehomed with Winter) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Kya (can be rehomed with Winter) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Wythall Animal Sanctuary will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Kya (can be rehomed with Winter) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Kya (can be rehomed with Winter) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Wythall Animal Sanctuary early rather than rehoming privately; they know Kya (can be rehomed with Winter) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
