Lola lived on a farm under very poor conditions. Although she was still a young pup, no one really took care of her. As a result, she grew up without the attention and protection that a pup needs. Fortunately, our rescuer Matild heard about her situation and decided to intervene. Thus, this young dog got another chance at a better future. Since then, she has been staying in Matild's small shelter. There, she lives together with several other dogs on a sandy area in a residential neighborhood. Although this is already a huge improvement compared to her previous situation, it is naturally not an ideal place to live. Therefore, a warm home with a kind adopter is very much desired. In the shelter, she gets along well with the other dogs. Additionally, she can amuse herself well alone and does not get bored quickly. She clearly enjoys cuddle moments and seeks contact. Moreover, she is playful and curious, just like you would expect from a young dog. She likes to go on adventures and finds water particularly interesting. Regarding her appearance, her large ears stand out. Initially, they stood straight up as sharp triangles, until one day one ear flopped forward. This gave her a unique look. Now both ears are upright again, especially when she is attentively listening for mice or voles in the surroundings. Update April 2026: In April 2026, our volunteers went to Romania, where they personally met Lola. Lola is a sweet little medium-sized dog with cute, pointed ears and a cheerful demeanor. Additionally, she is energetic and friendly and clearly enjoys attention and company. However, Lola maintains a nice balance: after some time, she seeks rest on her own to relax. This makes her a nice and stable dog to be around. Finally, one important element is still missing in her life: a home with a caring and loving owner. Lola leefde op een boerderij onder zeer slechte omstandigheden. Hoewel zij nog maar een jonge pup was, was er niemand die echt voor haar zorgde. Daardoor groeide zij op zonder de aandacht en bescherming die een pup nodig heeft. Gelukkig hoorde onze rescuer Matild over haar situatie en besloot zij in te grijpen. Zo kreeg deze jonge hond alsnog de kans op een betere toekomst. Sindsdien verblijft zij in de kleine shelter van Matild. Daar verblijft zij samen met een aantal andere honden op een zanderig terrein in een woonwijk. Hoewel dit al een enorme verbetering is ten opzichte van haar eerdere situatie, blijft het natuurlijk geen ideale plek om te leven. Daarom is een eigen, warm thuis bij een lieve adoptant zeer gewenst. In de shelter vermaakt zij zich goed met de andere honden. Daarnaast kan zij zich ook prima alleen bezighouden en raakt zij niet snel verveeld. Ze geniet zichtbaar van knuffelmomenten en zoekt graag contact. Bovendien is zij speels en nieuwsgierig, precies zoals je van een jonge hond mag verwachten. Ze gaat graag op ontdekking en vindt water bijzonder interessant. Wat haar uiterlijk betreft, vallen vooral haar grote oren op. Aanvankelijk stonden ze als strakke driehoeken recht omhoog, totdat er op een dag één oortje naar voren klapte. Dat gaf haar een unieke uitstraling. Inmiddels staan beide oren weer rechtop, vooral wanneer zij geconcentreerd luistert naar muisjes of molletjes in de omgeving. Update april 2026: In april 2026 gingen onze vrijwilligers naar Roemenië, waar zij Lola persoonlijk hebben leren kennen. Lola is een lieve kleine middelmaat met schattige, spitste oortjes en een vrolijke uitstraling. Daarnaast is ze energiek en vriendelijk en geniet ze zichtbaar van aandacht en gezelligheid. Toch bewaart Lola hierin een mooie balans: na een tijdje zoekt ze uit zichzelf weer even de rust op om ontspannen te gaan liggen. Dat maakt haar een fijne en stabiele hond om bij in de buurt te zijn. Tenslotte ontbreekt nog één belangrijk onderdeel in haar leven: een eigen plek bij een betrokken en liefdevolle baas. Wie geeft haar die kans op een gelukkig en stabiel leven?
