Lula

Cocker Spaniel · Female · Puppy · 7 months

Meet our wonderful Lula! Lula is a gorgeous 6-month-old Husky who came into Battersea due to a change in her previous owner's circumstances. Just like most puppies that come into our care, Lula has struggled to adjust to a kennel environment. She can become quite vocally demanding when staff pass her kennel, wanting them to say hello to her. Just like a typical husky she knows how to use her voice when she wants, but this would mostly be down to stress. Lula would be ok going to a less experienced home, if new owners understand what it means to take on a husky, especially one so young and the work that will come with that! This fun-loving youngster has embraced life with enthusiasm! Lula is full of energy and loves everyone she meets, whether they have two legs or four. As she continues to experience the world around her, her confident, playful personality shines through more each day. We would recommend her living with the teenage range, due to being quite excitable and needing to be taught basics and manners. Lula will need a home with a private garden. Due to being a younger pup, it would be essential for her to work on training and basics away from distractions, confidence building and have access to an area for toilet training. If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Lula, you can e-mail our rehoming team on to register your interest.

About Lula

What life with Lula looks like

Lula is a large puppy/kitten cocker spaniel dog waiting at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Lula, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Lula?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Lula on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Lula if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Lula already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Lula isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know Lula and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
