Luna-2

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 7 months

Luna-2 is a young female dog about 6 to 7 months old (April 2026). She was found together with another dog, Dona, in a forest and then taken in by rescuer Daniela. Since then, she has been in a shelter where she can calm down. Currently, Luna-2 is about 30 cm tall and weighs around 8 kg. She is expected to grow to about 35 cm, making her a small dog. She is likely Dona's daughter. Because Luna-2 is still young, she is at the beginning of her development. Therefore, it is important that she gets the time to get used to a new environment. Like every puppy, she will have to learn what it means to live in a house. With guidance and structure, she can grow in this. Furthermore, Luna-2 is growing up in a safe environment, which gives her a good foundation. This way, she can develop step by step into a stable adult dog. At the same time, a young dog needs time, attention, and patience. Finally, Luna-2 is ready to continue her life outside the shelter. She is looking for a home where she can continue to grow and feel safe. Finally, she is vaccinated and spayed and ready to make the exciting trip to the Netherlands. Who will offer her a loving place where she can develop into a nice house dog? Photos and Videos Luna-2 is looking for a nice home ❤️ Size: approx. 30-35 cm / approx. 10 kg when fully grown Born: estimated August 2025 Neutered: Yes Accommodation: Alba, Romania Cats: unknown Horses: unknown Temperament: friendly, gentle, curious, social We think Luna-2 can develop into a nice house dog with your help! She is doing well with her rescuer. This does not take away that she will also have to get used to a new living environment. Her new owner must be patient and guide her well. About Luna-2

What life with Luna-2 looks like

Luna-2 is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Stichting Help een Hond in Netherlands.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇳🇱Adopting from Netherlands

Dutch shelters typically require a household assessment and an adoption contract. Animals are routinely sterilized, microchipped, and registered in the national pet database (NDG) before placement.

Frequently asked

Adopting Luna-2, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Luna-2?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Stichting Help een Hond handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Luna-2 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Luna-2 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Stichting Help een Hond will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Luna-2 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Luna-2 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Stichting Help een Hond early rather than rehoming privately; they know Luna-2 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (NL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
