Michael is a young German Shepherd x Dogo Argentino mix, born on 25-12-2025. He can live with other dogs and cats, but may not be suitable for an apartment or very young children. Michael is friendly to caregivers but takes time to warm up. He is curious at his own pace and enjoys interacting with people when given space. He loves meat treats and is eager to please. Michael knows basic commands like "sit" and "stay," but be careful not to put your fingers near him as he may try to eat them. When uncertain or uncomfortable, he tends to retreat into a quiet space, such as under the table. Outside, he can bark at other dogs and strangers, especially if they have unusual items. Michael is still growing (32 kg) but will become an adult with a strong build. A stable home with a garden and possibly adult children is ideal for him.

Mocht je nu denken: ‘Wat lijkt hij op Mick en Charly’, dan klopt dat want het zijn broers van hetzelfde nest. Er is recent afstand gedaan van de broers en Charly zijn jullie wellicht al eerder tegengekomen aangezien hij al eerder was doorgegeven en vervolgens als zwerfdier is binnengekomen en niet meer is opgehaald. Hun vader is een Duitse Herder afkomstig uit een werklijn en hun moeder is een Argentijnse Dog, die doof is. We kunnen met zekerheid zeggen dat Michael niet doof is. Michael is een voorzichtige jongeman en niet de grootste held. Hij reageert doorgaans wel vriendelijk naar alle verzorgers, maar heeft wel even tijd nodig om contact te leggen en zich comfortabel te voelen bij mensen. Hij is onderzoekend en op zijn tempo nieuwsgierig. Hij komt wel graag bij mensen als hij de tijd krijgt en je nog niet teveel van hem verwacht. Speeltjes zijn niet breed bekend, zo is hij bang van een tennisbal, maar pluche knuffels vindt hij al wel eens tof om in zijn bek te pakken en mee te nemen in zijn mand. Maar vleesjes vindt hij het leukst en lekkerst en hier wil hij alles voor doen. Hij kent de commando’s ‘zit’ en ‘af”. Je moet alleen een beetje oppassen dat je vingers niet mee worden opgegeten. Wanneer hij met momenten onzeker is of iets gebeurd wat hij niet prettig vindt, dan kiest hij er in een binnenruimte tot nu toe voor om zelf weg te gaan en bijvoorbeeld onder tafel te gaan liggen en zich wat te verstoppen. Buiten blaft hij wel dingen weg. We verwachten dat hij kan blaffen naar buurhonden en onbekende bezoekers, zeker wanneer ze ‘engere’ objecten bij zich dragen. Hij kan prima geïntroduceerd worden aan mensen, maar we dienen wel rekening te houden met de karaktereigenschappen van zijn ouders. Michael is nog enorm aan het groeien en is nu al erg groot (32 kg). Een volwassen Michael wordt een stevige man, dus mensen die hem fysiek kunnen houden is absoluut nodig. Wellicht kan een leuke, stabiele teef hem ook helpen om de normale hondenwereld wat minder eng te vinden. Een huis met een tuin is noodzakelijk en verder zoeken we een thuis met eventueel volwassen kinderen zonder te druk sociaal leven.
