Muzafer

Rottweiler · Male · Adult · 6 years

Muzafer, a beautiful and stately Rottweiler, has been living at the Kecskemét Animal Shelter since June 29, 2026. He was found alone and injured in the municipality of Lajosmizse. As seen in the initial photos, he had deep wounds on his head and ears, where maggots had already infested. We do not know where the injuries came from. What we do know is that he was not chipped and there was no one who reported him missing. Unfortunately, these "incidents" still occur daily in Hungary. Muzafer will not have an easy time finding a home, almost like looking for a needle in a haystack, but we do not give up hope and wish him from the bottom of our hearts, because he deserves it just like all the other shelter residents. Muzafer is a friendly, nice, strong, and dear four-legged friend. He likes humans and is very happy about petting and attention, which was probably lacking in his past and therefore he has a lot of catching up to do. He knows how to walk on a leash, but there is certainly still room for improvement, but the other things from the dog multiplication table should his new can openers still teach him patiently and with a lot of joy. If he has settled in peace in his new home, he would certainly have fun if his people challenge and promote him, of course always with enough rest phases and offer him a framework in which he can develop. According to the animal shelter, he does not get along with his fellow dogs and is therefore looking for a home where he can be the single prince. (As of September 29, 2026) We are looking for experienced Rottweiler fans or those who want to become one for our great Muzafer, so that this dog can finally enjoy a dignified dog life. Sovereign people, with a plan for life, who love and appreciate the nature and character traits of these dogs and can lead them. To feel love and security for the first time in his life, to have his own two-legged ones who love him and give him loving but clear guidance and structure, a soft and cozy place to sleep, extended and varied walks, dog school and feel that he is worth something, all this would make Muzafer very happy. Who can Muzafer be a loyal friend to? Since Rottweilers are listed as list dogs in some cantons, if you are interested in him, you must first inform yourself about their conditions of keeping in your canton of residence. Muzafer is ready to travel.

DE·Show original

About Muzafer

What life with Muzafer looks like

Muzafer is a adult rottweiler dog waiting at Animal Happyend in Animal Happyend.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Muzafer, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Muzafer?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Happyend handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Muzafer on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Muzafer if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Happyend will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Muzafer already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Muzafer isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Happyend early rather than rehoming privately; they know Muzafer and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
