Narla

Cane Corso · Female · Puppy · 4 months

Meet Narla! Narla is a very sweet-natured, friendly girl who is full of all the fun, mischief and energy you would expect from a puppy her age. She loves being around people and is always ready for her next adventure – or a good game of fetch. Fetch is one of Narla’s favourite things, especially when there are squeaky toys involved. She’s a lively, playful girl who will keep you entertained with her puppy antics and infectious enthusiasm. Like any young puppy, Narla is still learning. When she gets excited, she can become a little nippy, so she will need someone who understands puppy behaviour and is prepared to continue teaching her appropriate boundaries. She does know her basic commands, which gives her new adopter a great starting point. Narla will need continued training, positive reinforcement and plenty of socialisation as she grows. As a Cane Corso Cross, she will also grow into a large and powerful dog, so her new family needs to be committed to helping her become a confident, well-mannered adult. This isn’t a dog who will simply slot into the background – Narla is a puppy, and puppies are hard work! There will be muddy paws, toilet training, chewed toys, zoomies, training sessions, sleepless nights and plenty of chaos along the way. But there will also be cuddles, laughter, companionship and the incredibly rewarding experience of watching her grow into the wonderful dog she has the potential to become. We are looking for someone who is prepared for the commitment of a puppy, understands the needs of a Cane Corso, and is willing to continue her training and socialisation throughout her development. Are you ready for the chaos of a puppy in your life ? If the answer if yes, Narla could be the girl you have been waiting for. Narla will need a private secure garden. Narla has socialised well with other dogs whilst in our care, and as you would expect for a puppy she is very playful. We do feel she could potentially be rehomed with another dog of similar size that would tolerate a puppy constantly wanting to play. (must be neutered). We are unsure how Narla would react around cats.

About Narla

What life with Narla looks like

Narla is a large puppy/kitten cane corso dog waiting at Manchester & Cheshire Dogs Home (Manchester) in Manchester.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Narla, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Narla?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Manchester & Cheshire Dogs Home (Manchester) handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Narla on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Narla if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Manchester & Cheshire Dogs Home (Manchester) will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Narla already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Narla isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Manchester & Cheshire Dogs Home (Manchester) early rather than rehoming privately; they know Narla and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
