Nuka – platziert

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Puppy · 3 months

This 3-month-old Pomsky-puppy was returned after only 8 days. The owner felt overwhelmed, as the puppy still needs a lot of time and patience. Now, the little one is searching for another living place. We are looking for a home for Nuka without small children (>12 years), ideally in a rural home with an enclosed garden so he can also be outdoors. Dog experience is also a must, preferably with Nordic dogs. Nuka is vaccinated, microchipped, and will be rehomed for an adoption fee of CHF 650.–. We appreciate your understanding if the processing of your inquiry takes a little longer. If you are interested in our dogs and would like to meet them informally, apply with the button below and we will get in touch with you as soon as possible. We strive to give a response as soon as possible, but it may happen that we receive many inquiries at once or that our resources are temporarily needed elsewhere. This animal was surrendered to the shelter.

About Nuka – platziert

What life with Nuka – platziert looks like

Nuka – platziert is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutzbund Basel Regional.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Nuka – platziert, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Nuka – platziert?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzbund Basel Regional handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Nuka – platziert on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Nuka – platziert if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzbund Basel Regional will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Nuka – platziert already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Nuka – platziert isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzbund Basel Regional early rather than rehoming privately; they know Nuka – platziert and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
