Paddy

Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Β· Male Β· Adult Β· 7 years

I can live with older dog-savvy children who understand I need time to settle in. I can be an only dog or live with other dogs. I have never met cats. I would like a secure garden to spend time in. I walk well on a lead and would enjoy one or two walks a day! I have never lived in a home so I will need help to learn house training. I will be neutered before finding my forever home! Read below for more! 20-10-26 Paddy is a sweet boy who has come to us from a breeder and absolutely adores fuss and attention. He is a wonderful chap with lots of love to give and is already walking well on a lead, so he would love to join his new family on plenty of relaxed adventures and explorations once he has settled into his forever home. Paddy has the confidence to be an only dog in his new home, provided his adopters have plenty of time to give him the attention he deserves, or he could live with other kind resident dogs who don't mind having this handsome chap around. He would love to have a family to call his own and enjoy all the little things that make home life so special. Paddy has never lived in a home before, so his adopters will need to be kind and patient as he learns all about house training and the other routines that come with family life. With a little guidance, reassurance and lots of love, we are sure he will settle in and make himself right at home. He can live with older, dog-savvy children who are sensible and understand he needs time to settle in. Paddy is an amazing boy who deserves a family of his own, and we think he will absolutely love home life. We hope he won't have to wait long to find his forever home and enjoy all the love and happiness he deserves! Paddy has arrived with some discomfort in his back legs an hips. He is being monitored by our vets for any future treatment he may need. Paddy as been given the Gift of Life by Christine Truty This dog can be homed with a resident dog.

About Paddy

What life with Paddy looks like

Paddy is an adult cavalier king charles spaniel dog waiting at Many Tears Animal Rescue in United Kingdom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" β€” quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures β€” to let them settle.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Paddy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Paddy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Many Tears Animal Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Paddy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Paddy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Many Tears Animal Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Paddy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Paddy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Many Tears Animal Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Paddy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
