Pandora is an estimated 2-3-year-old young cat who, as a community cat, has already experienced quite a lot and has raised three adorable daughters to adulthood. Arriving at the association as a teenage mother, Pandora is very shy and calm; despite her hissing, she has gently allowed herself to be cared for when she developed an ear infection. Pandora freezes with fear and remains extremely timid. She doesn’t approach people and doesn’t yet dare to eat treats from their hands—though she’ll happily accept goodies placed near her nose or within easy reach. She prefers to stay hidden out of sight. Playing with humans is still too frightening for her, though she’s been spotted patrolling the room at night and watching the outside world from the window when the premises have been quiet. In fact, Pandora is most active during times when no humans are around. Pandora is accustomed to other cats and has lived on the premises alongside her daughters. While the kittens were running wild, Pandora mostly kept to herself. She hasn’t paid much attention to new cats that have arrived. However, when people give her space, Pandora eats well and attends to her needs without issue. Pandora particularly loves high-up hiding spots and large scratching posts. Pandora’s diet has been varied, and she generally has a good appetite—as long as she can focus on eating in peace. Wet food has often been served with small pieces of raw meat to discourage her from gobbling it up too quickly. The interactive feeding toys also provide the cat mom with something to do for a while, requiring just a little extra effort to get the food out. Pandora will not be given as an only cat; ideally, she’d find another feline companion in her new home as well, since Pandora has always lived in a group throughout her life. She doesn’t yet know how to appreciate living with humans, but we hope for a home that has plenty of patience and understanding for this shy cat’s needs—and that’s willing to take things slowly, letting the cat set the pace for her own gentle socialization.

Pandora on arviolta 2-3 vuotias nuorehko kissa, joka on populaatiokissana eläessään kokenut jo kaikenlaista ja kasvattanut aikuisiksi asti kolme somaa tytärtä. Teinimammana yhdistykselle saapunut Pandora on hyvin arka, rauhallinen ja sähinöistä huolimatta antanut säyseästi hoitaa häntä tullessa vaivanneen korvatulehduksen. Pandora jäätyy pelätessään ja on hyvin arka. Ei lähesty eikä uskalla syödä nameja kädestä, ainakaan vielä. Herkut kuitenkin maistuvat jos niitä tarjoaa nenun eteen tai lähettyville, ja kisu saa pysytellä piilossa. Ihmisen kanssa leikkiminenkin on vielä liian pelottavaa mutta hänet on nähty yöllä partioimassa huoneessa ja seuraamassa ulkomaailmaa ikkunalta, kun toimitilalla ollut rauhallista. Pandora onkin kaikkein aktiivisin aikoina, joina ihmisiä ei ole paikalla. Pandora on tottunut muihin kissoihin, ja asunut toimitilalla tyttäriensä seurassa. Penskojen riehuessa, Pandora viettänyt aikaa enimmäkseen omissa oloissaan. Uusiin kissoihin hän ei ole juuri kiinnittänyt huomiota. Ihmisten antaessa tilaa Pandora kuitenkin käy hienosti syömässä ja tarpeillaan. Pandora tykkää erityisesti korkealla sijaitsevista piiloista ja isoista raapimapuista. Pandoran ruokavalio ollut monipuolinen, ja ruokahalu hänellä on yleensä hyvä, kunhan saa rauhassa keskittyä syömiseen. Märkäruoka on tarjottu pitkälti nuolumatoista ja raksut aktiivilautasilta hotkimisen ehkäisemiseksi. Aktiiviastiat myös tarjoavat kissamammalle tekemistä hetkeksi aikaa, kun ruoan eteen on tehtävä hitusen enemmän töitä. Pandoraa ei luovuteta ainoaksi kissaksi, vaan paras olisi että hänelle löytyisi uudessa kodissakin myös kissaseuraa, koska Pandora on elänyt porukassa koko ikänsä. Hän ei osaa vielä arvostaa ihmisen kanssa yhteiseloa mutta toiveissa oliskin koti, jolta riittäisi kärsivällisyyttä ja ymmärrystä aran kissan tarpeisiin ja rauhalliseen kesyttelyyn kissan ehdoilla.
