Pflegehund Clea

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 3 years

Clea, a friendly female dog with a lot of life, is waiting in 21614 Buxtehude. Clea was found alone on the streets near a small village. She was found near a main road and was probably abandoned recently. She was very friendly towards people from the start, came directly to the helpers and was clearly hungry when she was taken in. More information about how the dogs come to the shelter and answers to general questions can be found in our animal welfare FAQ. Clea was lucky to be able to travel from the Romanian shelter to a German foster home. This has many advantages: here she can get to know her new life in a household and her character can be better assessed. In addition, foster dogs can be visited and thus get to know them before deciding on an adoption. Clea is now allowed to arrive at the foster home. As soon as we can say more about her character, we will add this here. If you have already fallen in love with her, please send us a self-disclosure via the button below. In the shelter, Clea showed herself to be open and people-oriented. During her first visit, she was initially a bit excited and jumped up at the people, but found peace after a short time. She then sat down right next to her people, enjoyed the caresses and lay down relaxed. She let herself be touched and stroked everywhere and even sat on her owner's lap to cuddle. She also enjoyed brushing and lay down relaxed on her back. When the attention ended, she whined occasionally and showed that she would like to have a bit more of it. Clea showed herself to be friendly and respectful with other dogs. In the dog test, she met the male dog Sirius in a proper and interested manner. She also showed interest in dogs passing by, but remained approachable. We wish Clea a loving home where she can spend a lot of time with her people. With her open, cuddly nature and her joy in contact, she brings good prerequisites for a close bond with her future people. We are looking for people who are aware that shelter dogs bring a certain history with them. We can never predict in the shelter how a dog will react to life in Germany. That's why we're looking for people who bring patience, perseverance and goodwill. But one thing is certain: whoever adopts instead of buying not only gives a second chance to an animal, but actively decides against animal suffering - and for a life with a very special companion by their side. Already in love? Send us a self-disclosure! Adoption If you are thinking about an adoption, first read through the placement process. All dogs are vaccinated, chipped, dewormed, flea-free and neutered before departure (except for puppies up to 6 months and very old dogs). Dogs older than 1 year are also tested for Mediterranean diseases. If you have any further questions, please write a message to our placement team.

About Pflegehund Clea

What life with Pflegehund Clea looks like

Pflegehund Clea is a young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Hunderettung Europa e.V. in Duisburg.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pflegehund Clea, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pflegehund Clea?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hunderettung Europa e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pflegehund Clea on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pflegehund Clea if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hunderettung Europa e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Pflegehund Clea already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pflegehund Clea isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hunderettung Europa e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pflegehund Clea and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
