Pippa

Mixed Breed Β· Male

🐾 Pippa – D2026-45 🐾 5-year-old Pug πŸ“ Fostered in Cardiff βœ… Neutered βœ… First vaccination, microchipped and up to date with flea and worm treatment βœ… Comes with 5 weeks' free Agria Pet Insurance If you're looking for a little shadow to share your life with, then gorgeous Pippa could be your perfect match. Pippa is a true Velcro Pug who adores being close to her people. Wherever you go, she'll be right behind you, whether you're making a cup of tea or heading to the bathroom! Her new family will need to be mindful of her enthusiasm to stay close, as she's very quick to appear under your feet. She absolutely loves fuss and tummy rubs and has the sweetest little personality. New visitors are usually greeted with a bark, but it doesn't take long for Pippa to realise they're friends once they offer her a little attention. One of Pippa's favourite pastimes is making her own entertainment by burrowing under blankets, getting herself completely tangled up before emerging with lots of adorable little snorts. She also enjoys watching television and isn't afraid to voice her opinion when certain things appear on the screen! Pippa enjoys toys, although blankets definitely rank as her favourite. She travels well in the car and is looking forward to getting out and exploring once she's fully vaccinated. She is already doing well wearing a harness and lead in the garden, although she can be quite the little escape artist when she decides she's had enough! She is house-trained and will let you know if she needs to go outside, even during the night, by barking at the door. Pippa can happily live as an only dog where she can soak up all the attention, or with another friendly dog. She has not yet been assessed with cats or small animals. She ignored a wood pigeon in the garden, suggesting she's not particularly bothered by wildlife. She eats well around other dogs, although if there's any leftover food av

About Pippa

What life with Pippa looks like

Pippa is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Friends of Animals Wales in United Kingdom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" β€” quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures β€” to let them settle.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Pippa, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Pippa?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Friends of Animals Wales handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Pippa on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Pippa if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Friends of Animals Wales will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Pippa already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Pippa isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Friends of Animals Wales early rather than rehoming privately; they know Pippa and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
