Hij geniet enorm van aandacht, kruipt het liefst op schoot en volgt je graag overal. Bij mensen die hij kent, is hij vrolijk en sociaal. Nieuwe mensen vindt hij echter erg spannend. Hij kan dan blaffen, grommen of zich klein maken. Ook onverwachte geluiden en bewegingen maken hem snel onzeker. Daarom zoeken we voor Poef een rustig thuis bij geduldige mensen die hem de tijd geven om vertrouwen op te bouwen. Het is belangrijk om zijn grenzen te respecteren en hem niet te dwingen wanneer hij iets spannend vindt. Wanneer hij zich goed voelt, is Poef een echt jong veulen. Hij speelt graag en heeft een duidelijke voorkeur voor pluche speeltjes. Samenspelen met mensen kent hij nog niet: hij speelt vooral in zijn eentje en wil dan met rust worden gelaten. Hij snuffelt graag, maar is kieskeurig in de snoepjes die hij krijgt. Poef is een fijnproever: paté is prima, maar ‘gewone’ hondensnoepjes doen het voor hem niet. Een kieskeurige man! Poef kan geplaatst worden bij een andere hond. Een druk, sociaal gezin is voor Poef helaas geen optie.
