Border Collie Mix unneutered male dog, born 2024 | Height: 50cm | Weight: 14kg | Children: no | Cats: unknown | Dogs: yes vaccinated, microchipped, and available for adoption. This animal can be adopted if there is a suitable place and after sufficient getting-to-know each other. Rocky was originally given up to the animal shelter due to a lack of time and found a new home, but we had to take him back because his behavior overwhelmed his new place. Rocky is very insecure when it comes to interacting with people and currently has problems with physical contact. A good cooperative basis is currently being established with him, and training is showing initial progress. He already bridle himself calmly, and he also enjoys car rides. His new people must be prepared to deal with the fact that he is a dog that must be worked with by a trainer. A fellow animal would be very beneficial for him, as he is oriented towards other animals. This would help him gain security. Once Rocky has built trust and found a good basis with his people, he is a dog who will stick with his owner through thick and thin. He is agile, loves movement and thinking games. Due to his large Border Collie component, his herding instinct should not be underestimated. In short, Rocky is not a dog for beginners, but with the right people by his side, he can develop into a great companion. Rocky is currently on a foster care and is not in the animal shelter. Best placed with a resident dog (second-dog home).

Rocky wurde ursprünglich aufgrund von Zeitmangel im Tierheim abgegeben und fand ein neues Zuhause, wurde aber von uns zurückgenommen, da man am neuen Platz mit seinem Verhalten überfordert war. Rocky ist sehr unsicher im Umgang mit Menschen und hat aktuell Probleme mit körperlicher Kontaktaufnahme. Es wird momentan über eine gute Kooperationsbasis mit ihm Kontakt erarbeitet und das Training zeigt auch schon erste Fortschritte. Das Brustgeschirr lässt er sich bereits brav an- und ausziehen, auch mit dem Auto fährt er gerne mit. Seine neuen Menschen müssen sich aber darauf einstellen, dass er ein Hund ist, mit dem unbedingt mit einem Trainer weitergearbeitet werden muss. Ein wesensfester Zweithund wäre für ihn sehr von Vorteil, da er sich an Artgenossen orientiert. Dies würde ihm sehr helfen, an Sicherheit zu gewinnen. Hat Rocky erstmal Vertrauen gefasst und eine gute Basis mit seinen Menschen gefunden, ist er ein Hund, der mit seinem Besitzer durch dick und dünn gehen wird. Er ist agil, liebt Bewegung und Denkspiele. Durch seinen großen Anteil an Border Collie ist auch sein Hütetrieb nicht zu unterschätzen. Unterm Strich ist Rocky kein Hund für Anfänger, mit den richtigen Menschen an seiner Seite kann er sich aber zu einem tollen Begleiter entwickeln. Rocky befindet sich derzeit auf einem Pflegeplatz und ist nicht im Tierheim.
