Adopt Samira und Kira

Update: Kira is back at the animal shelter. Update: Unfortunately, we had to euthanize Samira. Our Samira is sick and wishes to spend her last days with people who can give her the attention that the stressful shelter life doesn't allow. Although Samira and Kira would like to move together, it is not a must. We don't know much about their background, but we can say that the two are loving, uncomplicated cats. Samira is much more outgoing and talkative than her sister Kira, who likes to stay in the background. Both are around 11-12 years old and get special food as both tend to have diarrhea and vomiting. Samira's stomach walls are thickened, which points to a chronic inflammation, and other organs in Samira are also noticeable, which may indicate lymphoma. Additionally, she has anemia and is always hungry but does not gain weight. Samira receives special food, supplements, and anti-inflammatory medication in combination with corticosteroids. Whether it's inflammation or cancer, the treatments would be quite similar. If the prednisolone doesn't work, chemotherapy tablets would be added in both cases. Since finding foster homes for two cats is a zero chance, we hope to find at least a place for Samira. We will continue to cover the costs for her treatments, medications, and special food. Update: Kira ist wieder zurück im Tierheim Update: Leider mussten wir Samira erlösen. Unsere Samira ist krank und möchte ihren letzten Lebensabschnitt mit Menschen verbringen, die ihr die Aufmerksamkeit geben, den der stressige Tierheimalltag nicht zulässt. Samira & Kira möchten zwar gerne zusammen ausziehen, ist aber kein Muss. Wir wissen von der Vorgeschichte nicht allzu viel, können aber sagen, dass die beiden liebe, unkomplizierte Katzen sind. Samira ist wesentlich aufgeschlossener und redseliger als ihre Schwester Kira, die sich gerne etwas im Hintergrund aufhält. Beide sind ca. 11-12 Jahre alt und bekommen Gastro-Futter, da beide zu Durchfall und erbrechen neigen. Bei beiden sind die Magenwände verdickt, was auf eine chronische Entzündung hindeutet, bei Samira sind auch andere Organe auffällig, was eher auf ein Lymphom hinweist. Zudem hat sie Blutarmut und ständig Hunger, nimmt aber nicht zu. Samira bekommt neben Spezialfutter und Nahrungsergänzung noch Entzündungshemmer in Kombination mit Cortison. Ob nun Entzündung oder Krebs, die Behandlungen wären ziemlich identisch. Denn wenn das Prednisolon nicht anschlagen sollte, würde eine Chemotablette dazu kommen, in beiden Fällen. Da die Chance, eine Pflegestelle für 2 Katzen zu finden gleich 0 ist, hoffen wir darauf, wenigstens für Samira eine Stelle zu finden. Wir übernehmen weiterhin die Kosten für die Behandlungen, die Medikamente und das Spezialfutter. Allgemeine Interessentenanfrage:
