Tessa und Toni

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Young · 3 years

Tessa and Toni are our names. And to get straight to the point, we are inseparable! Toni is not only my brother, he is also my best friend. We give each other security and need each other. We didn't have an easy start in life. Our mom brought us to the place where she always went to eat. We were 4 kittens. The people were very surprised. But they immediately made sure that our mom was spayed. She was allowed to stay, but there was no room for us and because we were getting bigger, the cat rescue came into play. We were born around May/June 2025 and are rather shy representatives, as we had little contact with people in our imprinting phase. But here in the foster home, we have already shown how much potential we have: we have developed wonderfully and now enjoy petting. With our foster mom, who is our reference person, it works great. We are still a bit skeptical of strangers. We are also more of the quiet, cozy cats and don't need a lot of action and we don't like a lot of noise. But don't worry: the way to our hearts is through the stomach. Bribery treats always work. We are looking for a home with experienced cat friends who are happy with small progress with heart, patience and understanding and know that trust is the most beautiful gift a cat can give. So people who don't expect perfect lap cats, but enjoy conquering shy cat hearts. That would be ideal for us. And apartment living with a connected balcony or connected window is enough for us. Of course, we are spayed, chipped and vaccinated and ready to move. Maybe our joint happy ending is waiting for you? If you want to get to know us, then contact our foster mom and tell her something about yourself.

DE·Show original

About Tessa und Toni

What life with Tessa und Toni looks like

Tessa und Toni is a large young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Katzenhilfe Stuttgart e.V..

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tessa und Toni, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tessa und Toni?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Katzenhilfe Stuttgart e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tessa und Toni on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tessa und Toni if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Katzenhilfe Stuttgart e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Tessa und Toni already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tessa und Toni isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Katzenhilfe Stuttgart e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tessa und Toni and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
