Adopt Traumhund Lina

Mixed Breed · Female

Uncomplicated Dream Dog Lina would like to be given another chance ❤️ Foster home in 88255 Baienfurt The little Dog Grandma Lina was unfortunately found in Romania by her deceased owner. Despite experiencing such a terrible thing, she is still an incredibly cheerful dog. Outdoors, Lina shows more fear, as she still finds cars and loud noises very anxious. Here, she needs calm people who can give her security in these situations. Initially, she shows some fear towards strangers, but after sniffing them once, she doesn't want to stop cuddling with the person. Lina especially loves children. Lina gets along with all dogs, whether big or small. She quickly and easily integrates into a new pack. And also in her new home, there should be another dog. She likes being in the garden. Walking on a leash is practiced daily and she is already good at it. Unfortunately, she is not fully house-trained, but she signals when she needs to go. On her belly, she has a few benign tumors, which are only noticeable when stroking and do not require further medical treatment. Lina was treated with homeopathic remedies for small harmless breast tumors. According to the vet: the tumors are stabilized and are not growing, further treatment is not necessary, Lina is doing well, and she can be placed with good conscience. Lina has a very loving and uncomplicated nature and is simply a dream dog. An ideal match for her would be a quiet family in rural surroundings who can give her the necessary security in anxious situations. ❤️ House-trained: Not yet fully, but signals when she needs to go Compatible with cats: if these dogs know them Compatible with other dogs: Yes Location: 88255 Baienfurt For inquiries, feel free to contact at the number‪ (only WhatsApp). Best placed with a resident dog (second-dog home).

About Traumhund Lina

What life with Traumhund Lina looks like

Traumhund Lina is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Free Dogs - Vergessene Tiere in Not e.V. in Großefehn.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Traumhund Lina, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Traumhund Lina?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Free Dogs - Vergessene Tiere in Not e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Traumhund Lina on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Traumhund Lina if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Free Dogs - Vergessene Tiere in Not e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Traumhund Lina already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Traumhund Lina isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Free Dogs - Vergessene Tiere in Not e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Traumhund Lina and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
